Thank gawd we got a severely truncated version of "My Ding-a-Ling". And how sad that Casey's prediction of an Oscar nomination for Curtis Mayfield didn't come true.

Was this a great start to a countdown or what?
Sweet Surrender - d**n what a beautiful song - it gives me goosebumps - the guy was a genius. And then he follows it up with Aubrey. Yikes. Me And Mrs Jones - the anthem of that winter - until Carly came along anyway Dialogue and All The Young Dudes.
I mean come on! Wow.

I guess not! the 5 nominees that year: "The Morning After" (Poseidon Adventure) "Ben" (Ben) "Marmalade, Molasses & Honey" (The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean) "Come Follow, Follow Me" (The Little Ark) "Strange Are the Ways of Love" (The Stepmother) kinda shameful Curtis was overlooked -- 2 of those movies are flicks I've never heard of (and I'm a movie geek).

KOLA says next weekend's show is 11/25/78. Cue sheet: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/11-25-78.pdfNew show! Wow, there are seven extras in the show: Satisfaction, Knock Three Times, Sgt. Pepper Heart's Club, One Bad Apple, Oh Happy Day, Me & Bobby McGee, and Handy Man. It will be interesting to see what stays in the show versus what becomes an optional extra versus what may get dropped (if any).

I think that that the other extras will be the OE's, despite "Satisfaction" being an all-time classic record. BTW, this is, in essence, my first time predicting the extras.

Optional extra predictions for the 11/25/78 show:
* "Oh Happy Day" by The Edwin Hawkins Singers (was an original extra) * "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire * "Every 1's A Winner" by Hot Chocolate * "Fire" by The Pointer Sisters
I'll predict Satisfaction, Sgt. Pepper and Handy Man stay in the show. mrjukebox says the others stay in as well.
If anyone gets all four right this week, that will be amazing.

Since WODC is playing Christmas music now does anyone know what stations might play the full 1978 4 hours besides KOKZ?
