Looks as if JACK has dropped both "Classics You Should Know" and the loooooong running "Classic Cuts" filler features in favor of the IHeartRadio mini countdown features. And the station has been rejoining on schedule again.

WQSR missed the end of '10-9-8', from the 8-4-84 show.

We heard the iHeart sports capsule, TWICE, in the same break!

Thanks to commercials causing hours 2 and 3 to run past the top of the hour, Delirious and Suddenly Last Summer were not played. (And going by what time it is right now, I don't think Solsbury Hill will play either.) Solsbury Hill is playing right now. ETA: And now they skipped the Top 2. I think I'll listen to another station next week if I miss the show on WGHN.

Here's a throwback failure: Next week is likely to be the first time WQSR plays 9/13/80. When Premiere offered it five years ago, WQSR was playing a 1982 countdown for the third straight week.

I won't bother with JACK FM anymore.

OK, I gotta jump in here... and I apologize if I upset anyone here, but I am in a very good mood as I type this...
There are 90+ airings of AT40 - The 80's on any given weekend, and most of the stations have quality webstreams. You can listen to or record AT40 just about anytime you want on any given weekend.
If I am looking at these threads and see a thread titled, "WQSR Fails", I think that this may not be the most reliable station to listen to or record AT40. If I notice that the thread is 22 pages long, I would go with another station. If one clicks on page 1 and notices that people have been upset with this station for three years... I would never listen to nor record AT40 from this station.
If you live in Baltimore and this is your station, I get listening to this station. And while there aren't that many Sunday evening AT40 airings, there is a station in Grand Rapids, Michigan airing the show at the same time as WQSR, Sunday evenings from 8 p.m. to midnight. There's also a station in Hartford, Connecticut which airs the last three hours of AT40 from 9 p.m. to midnight on Sunday. A few other stations start AT40 at 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday.
I also get if you are new to these boards like spock is and maybe didn't know about the unreliability of WQSR. Maybe the poster who maintains the 80's station list could add a statement about unreliability to the station listing? Just an idea.
Help me out here... why continue to give this station a chance? I'm curious and amused at the same time... I would have given up on this station a long, long time ago. Some of you must have a lot more patience than me.
Thanks for listening.

^I think you might say that WQSR is a victim of their own (past) success here on the boards. One of the reasons we lament their mishaps is that they used to be the perfect station to stream the shows each weekend--excellent sound quality, played all of the extras, almost never botched a commercial break. This lasted through sometime in 2012, when they slowly began to make more mistakes. Now they aren't consistently playing all of the extras like they used to, though I think the sound quality is still good.
Also, I think that many of us scratch our heads at any of these stations over the fact that it shouldn't be that hard to enter the shows into the computer each week, but somehow they still seem to muck it up.

I used too tune into the WTIC show live over the air a couple years ago when they ran it Sunday mornings. The current timeslot interferes with other stuff I'm doing. I dont understand why they cant run the 4 hour show. I gave up years ago myself on WQSR.Between the mess ups and stream timeouts .It was to mush. I'm surprised they are still running the show.

I've lately tended to avoid the station's online feed; not only are there wrong or missing segments at times, but it takes too long with the stream timeouts and too much extraneous iHeartRadio material (though it certainly isn't the only station guilty of this.) So I don't like to rely on it unless I haven't been able to hear the 80s AT40 anywhere else by Sunday night.
However, due to geography, I still like to listen to it over the air if I'm in the car on Sunday night (home non-online reception is somewhat trickier, though at least somewhat audible. It often runs up against a country station playing Bob Kingsley's countdown.)

OK--so all this being said, what is everyone's opinion as to what the best radio station online stream is? With WQSR dipping in quality and WMLX dropping the show, I'm not sure which stream I would tune into at this point...

I have listened to AT40 on WQSR on Sunday nights for so long- it's just a habit. If they screw up, I still wake up on Monday morning.

Automation didn't drop the 2nd hour optional extra at 10:01pm. I wonder if they turned off Resync for AT40 hours (lots of stations do) after last week.
