I believe there were 9 #1 songs in this weeks' 6/21/75 countdown, which seems like quite a few.
Does anyone know which week in the 70s had the most #1s in the Top 40? I would think sometime in early 1975 would be a likely answer.

The weeks of 1/18/75 and 5/7/77 have 13 #1 songs in them...among shows that have played this year. Since I have it and in case someone asks, the top 10 with the most #1 songs is 9/21/74 with 8.

Let me guess - with all the big drops from #1 around that time, they were all present or future #1s, right?

If you are referring to the top 10 of 9/21/74, the big drops from #1 started the next week when the #1 song of 9/21 fell to 12. So there were former and future #1s on that top 10.
