OK, One of my all time favorite songs is Who Loves You by The Four Seasons. I was listening to both my Top 100 of 1975 and Top 100 of 1976 shows. Didn't look at either one's cue sheet, wanted to be surprised and boy was I ever....
IT WASN'T ON EITHER SHOW!!!
Thats ridiculous. Because of the ridiculous November to November way they did it, a NUMBER 3 HIT got axed from a year end show....
Any other songs that any of you felt got the shaft on year end shows?

If it is any consolation, Fred Bronson's Hottest HOT 100 Hits which gives songs full credit for their chart life has it at #34 for 1975. Which means they were REALLY ripped off.

Is this a book or a web site? That sounds interesting. What years does this cover?

It is a book. I have the first edition which covers 1955-1990. There have been later editions published.

Also "Can't Get Enough of Your Love Babe" did not make the top 100 of the year. All these are in the 70s. Were there any #1 songs in the 80s that did not make the top 100 of a year?

The same thing happened a year later with Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". It peaked at #2 in November 1976, but didn't make the Top 100 countdown for either 1976 or 1977.

I pretty certain "Like A G6" by Far*East Movement didn't make either year-end chart, despite its high peak, but I was relieved since I didn't care for that song.

That said, a song about a Pontiac G6? Seems like a pretty mundane vehicle to rate a song. Far cry from Ronny and the Daytonas '64 opus "Little GTO"!

At year end in the 1980s Billboard left off songs like Purple Rain, King of Pain & One Thing Leads To Another probably due to cutoff date issues(AT40 did not). Had Billboard not included October 1979, Heartache Tonight might not have been on the Billboard top 100 chart of 1980.
