This post kinda has to do with Rick Dees I guess. I have created a new channel on his BYO Hit Music App. My user name is Michael677 and my channel is named “Saturday Night Fever”. It’s all the best disco and songs from mid-late 1970s. I used to listen to a show on WRTS FM in Erie, PA on Saturday nights in the mid 90s. These songs were always heard on that show. Please check it out and lemme know what you think. And for you who love hair bands and rock ballads, I just put up another new channel on Dees app “Hair Metal Nation”, user Michael677. I request you check this out. I have a great mix of rock on there.

ok on jan 2006 on the app, after the opt extra in each hour played it skips to next segment, instead of moving to next song. not sure why it does that.

This week on the app:
January 11, 1986 January 11, 1992 January 12, 2008
Should it be any surprise the first regular 80s show of the year is from 1986?

also all the retros app unfortunately are aired last year I guess the past few weeks there had stations airing and mobile retros different from each other, but Im guessing this time is back to normal: stations and the app device now the same.

December 14, 1991. This one aired last year with a few segments from December 21, 1991 didn't it? I don't think I even mind that mistake (though hopefully it's been fixed) since 1991 is rarely featured on the 90s retro countdown. This countdown you are referring to is the 1/11/92 show and it is being played this week on the app. And yes, they are still mixing segments from multiple January 92 shows.

Jan 11, 1992 from SS to #22, #10-#1. I think third hour #21 to #11 was from Jan 18, 1992 which was only last aired 2013.. I still wish they could try to fix the segment back to Jan 11, 1992 This also happened this year as well as last year, and didnt even fix. It's not surprising, maybe email to rick dees to fix the segment but chances are they slightly wont respond

If no one answers by the time I get home from work tonight, I'll listen to that show and let you know.
ETA: It was "Oh Sheila" by Ready For The World.
Noticed Rick mentioned WLOL (Minneapolis) among other station mentions leading into the top 10. Loved listening to that station growing up. They went off the air in February 1991.

Perhaps they sensed that about five years later, they'd become the butt of many jokes.

KZOY is airing 01/23/1988 this morning, not 1989. The sure shot is "Be Still My Beating Heart" by Sting. This show aired last year and this is the 7th time it has aired in retro-Dees.
