The 80s is also changed too: Dec 6, 1986 So I guess Oct 17, 1987 and Mar 23, 1996 turned out to be an error after all Dec 1986 and Dec 1999 was last repeated 2017, also same with 2001 I did send Rick an email Sunday afternoon complaining about the October and March dates. They may have decided to make the change to more appropriate seasonal shows. Well, that’s great but it comes too late for those of us who don’t have the App . It’s just as well, if it had been a 1988 or 1989 show, I would’ve been pissed but the shows they have on the App are the yearly repeats, the same old same old, 1986 (pass) again (the shows now are 1986,1987 and 1988...what happened to 1985?) and 1999 (snore). Not interested in yet another 1986 show and one I’ve heard already many times. I still can’t believe they sent the wrong shows to radio stations, well actually I can...only one of the stations that airs the 80s edition was playing Christmas music, the rest aired the 1987 show. This is the kind of thing that would make a radio programmer drop the show. It’s just ridiculous at this point.

1995 was also skipped, last time 1995 played was last June this year. 1985 was last played last July of this year, so I guess it isn't surprising it skipped 1985 since AT40 airs those.
The last time any new to rerun aired was last October and it was 90s and that was Oct 22, 1994. Last time new d2K not a repeat aired this year was Aug 28, 2004 Last time 80s aired this year not a repeat and new was Jul 30, 1988.

Oh god, I wake up to that dreadful, unfunny, “I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus” song parody *kills self*. I know what that means, it’s another yearly repeat. The SS was fitting, “What Did I Do To Deserve This” indeed...I never knew I could get so sick of 1987.

KZOY is playing 12/12/87 this morning. This is the 10th time this show has aired in retro-Dees, the most recent being last year.

The app is updated. We have:
December 12, 1987 December 4, 1999 (apparently it's the same as last week. Really Rick?) December 10, 2011

Of these three shows:
I think I’ll skip 1987; it’s been played umpteen times already, and that too long and unfunny intro doesn’t help. Besides, we get a Casey show from December 1987 next week.
Maybe they just are late in updating the 90s show? Last week we of course had the 80s and 90s countdowns changed after a couple of days.
2011 at least is new; this is I think only the fourth or fifth time the main show postdates 2009.

2011? What the hell, is that a mistake? Since when do they offer shows from the 2010s? Ugh again with 1999 or did they screw up again? I’m not interested in any of these shows to be honest. I’d rather wait a week to listen to AT40.
Who am I kidding, maybe I’ll listen to the 2011 show. I like Gaga, Katy Perry...

And the 90s show has been changed to December 14, 1991.
There have been a few 2010s shows offered on D2K, from 2010-12 (the “bonus hour“ offering much of a second show has been from as late as 2015). I think they’re a bit too recent for much nostalgic value, but maybe there will be more as we work our way into the 2020s.

I’d rather listen to the 1991 show than the 1999 show though. I’m assuming it’s too late though and stations have been sent the 1999 show, I guess we’ll have to wait and see. How unprofessional though.

December 14, 1991. This one aired last year with a few segments from December 21, 1991 didn't it? I don't think I even mind that mistake (though hopefully it's been fixed) since 1991 is rarely featured on the 90s retro countdown.

Dec 14, 1991 was NOT aired last year, that was last aired 2 years ago. I didn't know it used Dec 21, 1991, I didn't notice it.. when I last listened it back in 2014 and it was doing fine. Maybe you must have misunderstood thinking of something else

Seems odd. I wonder if other radio stations mess up or screw up show? The app still plays Dec 14, 1991.

Really enjoying the 1991 show. Timely countdown for the weekend as well. Rick mentions did you make it through Friday the 13th? Well we actually coincidentally had it this month and year as well. And with the sad passing of Roxette member Marie Fredriksson, it was hard to hold back a tear hearing “Spending My Time”. I also liked the above average amount of Rock on this countdown. It was good to hear the likes of Lita Ford, Van Halen, U2, The Storm and especially Motley Crue (I LOVE the song “Home Sweet Home). I am surprised that song never charted in its original release in 1986. That video would come up on the hour, every hour on MTV that year. It finally saw chart success in 1991-92, with a more mediocre video but glad to finally hear it in the 90s charts. Didn’t understand the joke about a dog collar from the “Holiday Fairy” but I don’t see the humor in a lot of those segments. Lol. But wonderful countdown overall.

Why is the show different than the app? All questions we probably won’t get answers to. I would have rather listened to the 1991 show, they couldn’t have just sent that to stations? So bizarre.
