Just listened to that 2009 show. That’s 4 hours I’ll never get back. Snoozefest listening to Adult Contemporary music. And that was a great year for mainstream hits. I don’t know why they have to play the HAC versions for that year.

KZOY is playing 05/30/87 this morning. The sure shot is "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael. This show was last aired in 2016 and this is the 5th time it has aired on retro-Dees.

Has retro dees app been updated? If so, what are 90s and d2k? I don’t believe they have been updated yet. I don’t have any idea about the 90s but the D2K show will probably be either 5/31/08 or 5/30/09 as those are the shows that have aired the past two years. He hasn’t played a new D2K show since late March.

App is updated. This week's shows:
May 30, 1987 June 1, 1996 May 27, 2000
For the last month or so the date shown on the app is a day earlier than the day of the actual show.

Finally a show from the first half of 2000! This is the first time we will hear most of these songs in the series. I am really looking forward to this. I will be listening to the app a lot this week.

I really enjoyed the 2000 show. Funny that the oldest song was only 21 weeks old. And surprising that it was still at #2, "Everything You Want."

"Everything You Want" went on to be the #1 song of the year in Radio & Records and AT40 (not sure about Rick's show) despite never hitting #1 on that weekly chart. The same happened the following year to Lifehouse's "Hanging By a Moment".

And the only two artists from May 2000 who are still active on this week’s charts are Pink and Rob Thomas (AT40 HAC), although Rob isn’t on Rick’s Hot AC. And it looks like everybody is still alive today. I also enjoyed how there was very little rap and featured artists.

I think in the past the show from the second week of June 1988 aired in May. I wonder if this year we'll get it in it's right time. It would be this coming week's show if so.

It wasn't second week of June 1988. It was actually first week of June 1988, that has been played numerous times year to year repeat, last year was played twice: May 19, 2018 week AND Jun 8, 2018!

As an added bonus, in the 1996 show we get some commercials left in from the original. If the Rerun Rick pattern continues, then we may soon get a more recent show with even more of the same feature: last year D2K aired a June 2010 show that included the original commercials that were repeated over and over, just as in 2010.
