"Roll to Me" was at #24 (#23 the previous week). As for "December" the ranks I am missing from the previous week are 38, 37, 20, 18, 10, and 9. 4 of the numbers I am missing belong to "Til I Hear It from You," "Runaway," "Carnival," and "Hand in My Pocket". Does anyone happen to know any of the previous week ranks for those 4 songs? 20 Carnival 18 Hey Lover (+7) 10 Hand In My Pocket (0) 9 Runaway (0) "Til I Hear It From You" was down 3 to #17.

i look forward for 2004 show, thanks! it's sucks to see 1989 still continues to be skipped. Feb 1, 1986 is new for me, but it formerly used to be on downloadable rick dees but hasn't aired on radio stations though.
I still wish they couldve played Jan 1987 (it hasn't been played ever), and 1989 has been skipped mostly last year and likely this year so far
And for Jan 23, 1988, #1 was skipped completely? I don't remember that, when I last listened in 2015, #1 had been played and continued that since and last year too, but don't know why this year #1 got skipped

Looks like the app is wrong for 2004. It's actually 1/27/01, which was played last year. The Sure Sure shot is "The Call" by Backstreet Boys.

Wow... I am more than shocked the 1/28/89 show wasn't selected this weekend. That was always repeated year after year. Now, just as all the other 1989 shows were skipped last year, this one was as well. Makes me wonder now that something has to be up. What's with the staff's hatred for 1989? *head scratching*

If Rick Dees thought Chaka Khan was mentioned enough in 1993 at that point (because of Whitney Houston remake of "I'm Every Woman"), there'd be more where that came from - Mary J. Blige would send her version of "Sweet Thing" into the top 40 as well as Chaka herself duetting with Peter Cetera on the underrated "Feels Like Heaven".

In the 2001 show when leading into BBMak, Rick mentioned lots of all-male groups from the UK... but mistakenly included Westlife - they're from Ireland.

KZOY is playing 01/25/86 this morning, not 02/01/86. "Sanctify Yourself" by Simple Minds is the sure shot. This show was last played in 2014.

Somehow that doesn't seem as funny now as it may have 30 years ago. In any case it's time for some more shows from early 1985 or 1989. There's a February 1985 show that has been played several times but has missing or out of place segments that have never been corrected.

Disappointing to see retro shows last weekend still in repeats.. Yeah I don't understand why are they skipping 1989 shows this year as well as last year?

I don’t get it either. I’m not so concerned with 1985 as AT40 will offer a show from that year but what is going on with the 1989 shows? That is the million dollar question. As far as 1986 goes, Rick sure loves that James Brown sound effect doesn’t he? I know this has been covered to death but the comedy bits make me cringe. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at any of the comedy segments/characters...Crabby, Dr Rude, Willard Wiseman, Bernie Shelly..never laughed once. The “jokes” are horribly dated but they’re also just not funny.
I will give credit where credit is due and admit I really enjoyed the 1993 show. If Rick would just play the music and not drone on it would be much better. The Top 10 was almost perfect although I think we can all agree “I Will Always Love You” is overplayed, even today. I loved hearing “Never A Time”, which I think is an underrated Genesis song and “Faithful” by Go West.
The 2001 show, for me was just ok. I’m not a fan of the music from that time...”Liquid Dreams”, really? And “It Wasn’t Me” just makes me angry. That was around the time that I started to get into music from the 80s because I hated Top 40 music at the time.
Oh BTW Mjl677, I like your avatar.

I read somewhere that they are actually putting together a sequel to Bill and Ted this year. I guess they will be parents and they still need to make a song that will change the world..lol. But I was interested to see that news so many decades after the last movie.

Obviously it makes sense but it’s still going to be weird lol.
