The original air date was Dec. 7-8, 1985. Last year, they played the broadcast of Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 1985.

Listening to the 1994 show. They did a montage of Weird Al Yankovic's songs and as far as I know, no mention or snippet of 1989's hit "UHF" which I thought was one of his better songs. Was it mentioned in any of the countdown? Also in Hour 3, some segments had the original commercials included.

I have to admit, I’m not a Weird Al fan but I thought he did a decent job co hosting. Rick works better with a co host. Although I have to say at times he was a little annoying, especially towards the end. Honestly, I don’t really like the shows from 1993/1994. Certain songs bring back bad memories, especially 1994 which was my freshman year of HS, that was one year I would like to forget.

I really enjoyed the 2001 show. Looks like everyone on it is still alive today.
The only Top 40 artists who charted in 2018 (Rick Dees or AT40) are Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Justin Timberlake of *NSync and U2 (Hot AC).

The Backstreet Boys, who were on that show with "Drowning", had a top 20 hit in 2018 with "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" as well. And there is one band member on that chart who died - Matt Roberts, a founding member of 3 Doors Down, died in 2016. The rest of the band is still going strong though.

Including the segments about "Pocket Locker" and the wonderful things you'll eventually be able to do at a "cash machine" or somesuch courtesy of AT&T, which were early examples of devices or companies offering things that we can do all and much more electronically every day now. And I'm listening to this on Thursday afternoon. Darn, I missed the 1994 Billboard Music Awards which were broadcast on Wednesday...

I really hope we get different year-end shows other than 1985, 1992, and 2008. Wouldn't it be great to get 3 new ones? The top 100 of 1989 would be nice since IIRC last time 1989 was featured "Lost In Your Eyes" was #1 (or it was at least on the chart meaning it had to be March or April) and AT40 can't air this since it's after Casey's time. As for the 90s I wouldn't mind the top 100 of 1996 (one of pop music's better years post 1980s) or 1991 or..... maybe 1990 (but what are the odds another 1990 show gets featured so soon)?

Also 80s: Dec 12, 1987 (which it isn't surprising because they have been on year to year repeat nonstop since 2014, and it also aired 2012 and 2013...) D2k: Dec 15, 2007(I think it's CHR, and it's new)

Unfortunately, Rick didn't do a year-end 1989 show. He did a top 80 for the decade instead.

I remembered when back in 2014 when I listened Dec 12, 1987 WT40, #5 and #4 was reused from Dec 19, 1987, because I think the segment Dec 12, 1987 was lost or something. Rick Dees said #5 Shake Your Love, spent 2 wks #5, where it should be up 1 position, and #4 was Whitney Houston - So Emotional played in wt40 special mix, Rick Dees didn't give out the position movement.. (it should be up 3). Maybe in others' opinion, maybe it won't make a difference though..

I think we would take anything that isn’t a repeat. I personally would love if they re-aired the Top 40 of 1987 that last aired in 2013. I loved that show. Have they ever aired the year end shows of 1990 or 1991?

I didn't even listen to those, but I did notice some radio station that aired Rick Dees 90s show displayed songs on playlist yes.com (used to have those until yes.com is no longer active anymore currently that started of 2012 or 2014, I can't remember)
