With the countdowns starting at 9PM on Friday, and ending at 6AM on Monday morning 10 days later, I have a feeling the 70 hours of programming is going to run back-to-back and then repeat itself, as opposed to being featured a year a day. If that is the case, 1980 would only have 3 hours to be squeezed in, or 1989 would be squeezed out on the final day. We should be able to get through the first run of all ten years in the first 2.9 days, and all ten years should be On Demand also. Has it been confirmed that that's how it's going to work? Laura - we should find out at Midnight eastern. Today's schedule (on the 80s on 8 SXM webpage) has the Big 1000 starting at 6PM Eastern until Midnight. It is either going to repeat 1980, or go right to 1981. Tomorrow's schedule has remained unchanged. The Big 1000 Countdown only appears tonight from 6pm-12a. Maybe later today, the schedule will be updated? Everyone on Facebook is asking Jim Ryan this very question, and of course there has been no response. The lack of response has generated more irritated fans commenting.

It's 5PM Central time right now and it hasn't started yet, so it'll probably begin at 8PM like it usually does.

It did start at 8PM central, with 1980 of course. The VJs pop up every 4-6 songs and supposedly the whole thing will be made available On Demand, most likely in sections.

It took 3 hours 20 minutes for the first half of the 1980 Top 100, i.e. 4 minutes per song. So, it will take about 6 hours 40 minutes to go through Top 100.

Top 100 of 1981 started immediately after #1 of 1980, "Call Me", at 3:40 am EST. No On-Demand show of this special program has been offered yet as of 4:20 am EST.

"Bette Davis Eyes" is playing as of 9:22 AM central time, so 1981 is around the same length and 1982 should start any minute now. I slept through most of it because it was pretty late. Hopefully the next time 1981 airs it would be at a reasonable time.

Would it hurt them to play the shorter version of "Do I Do"?

They are just about done with 1982, so 1983 starts around 4:05 PM central.

It seems that the 1983 show will need 7 hours plus, and will end around 0:10 AM Eastern, 11:10 PM Central.

1984 starts as of 11:07 PM central, so 1983 was exactly 7 hours long. I have a feeling they'll get longer as we go.

From the Facebook page of SiriusXM Big 80's on 8: "Hey 80s fans we are working on the technical issue that so far has prevented us getting the Big 1000 countdown On Demand! It should be resolved in next day or so! Meanwhile, we hope you are enjoying this rad countdown on the air right now!"

1986 has started as of 1:23 PM central. It also looks like they're finally starting to get the show up On Demand.
1987 has started as of 8:24 PM central.
1988 more than likely started around 3:30 AM, so 1989 will more than likely start at around 10:30.
