If that's the case then that begs the question of what airs the weekend of the 24th/25th?

Perhaps a generic Christmas show will be offered (and possibly the only offering) for both 70s and 80s stations on Christmas weekend.

By generic Christmas show, do you mean like what's aired the last 3 weeks or something else?

Actually, next weekend Premiere will be airing the first half of the "Top 60 Christmas Songs" show. So does anyone know which station(s) are the best one(s) for listening to these shows taking into account commercials, non-repeating segments and such? Thanks.

KCLH - Classic Hits 94.7 Wisconsin is not bad at all with the Casey´s Xmas shows. They have commercials but played all the show.
Saturdays and Sundays 07.00 EST. 100% sure Sundays at 07.00 EST.

Since Part 1 of the Top 60 Christmas Countdown show will be aired this weekend, Part 2 will be aired next weekend (December 17-18). Then, what show will be aired during the Christmas weekend (December 24-25)?

All we hope it will be the last and 4th existing episode of non chart AT10 Xmas special....
Or Christmas Across The Lands on some of those stations...
Last year some of the stations that normally takes AT40 were with that 12 hour long show.

I questioned earlier this season if they might run one of the classic Christmas countdowns via AT40: The 70s that week if they did the program schedule like this. Even the affiliate that didn't go all holiday music want have issues playing that type of show on Christmas weekend since the holiday falls on Sunday.

36 was the vocal version of the song at #34? Thats pretty weak. Not sure where the rankings came from but I never hear the vocal version of Christmas Time Is Here.... EVER!

This is the one show Casey Kasem hosted that I think they may have consulted the Rick Dees All Request countdown research team for the info if you get my drift. I think they wanted to get back to a countdown format after a few weeks of random songs and rather than the Top 30 signifying nothing, they doubled down and aired most everything just this time with a number behind it. Plus I think they used some sense for the top 10 or 20.

Yeah, they borrowed Dees' dart board and used it to compile songs #2 through #60 (as the #1 song actually makes sense).

What a deep voice Thurl Ravenscroft had-He's best known as the voice of Tony The Tiger in the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes commercials but he was also one of the voices at The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland-I remember hearing that piece of information on "The Dr.Demento Show".

Does anyone know when "The Top 60 Christmas Songs" countdown was originally broadcast?
