Depends, if its record pops and such, its ok, if its because of the edit, then no. I disagree with "selling" AT40 this way! Kinda makes you wonder how he'd be getting those shows with "record pops" in them, if that's the case...

I disagree with "selling" AT40 this way! I agree with you BME! As Shadster said earlier, his whole enterprise will be gone once Premiere finds out and takes action. The blatant way he promoted his site here and elsewhere will probably make it easier for them to find out.

Checking out BestMusicExpert's site helps - he plays some great shows - better quality than a while back.. Look at his schedule, listen a little, and you will "get it" - Thanks, BME!

His shows are not from the LPs they are recorded from either Premiere or SiriusXM. His editing is the problem. However the tracks are being split, they don't always fit back together. For the most part they were seamless but occasionally they have a few seconds repeated or missing at the splice.

Screw him and the horse he rode in on. I already have almost every show he posted (except for a couple crappy '72 shows). I hope Premiere busts him.

I hope he pays the ultimate price and ends up in legal trouble and ends up with a lump of coal in his stocking this Christmas. He doesn't even know what's coming.

Also you can go to www.4shared.com and search AT40. I have a bunch of shows uploaded there. Thanks for this link. I was able to add a few shows. I would record some on my own but I discovered I don't have a recording device on my computer.

Yeah, I have no idea why they are in five minute clips but they are. It's not like the individual songs or segments are tracks, it's just five minute tracks. Songs, segments, everything is broken up. When you link them back together it's pretty much seamless. But it's still a pain to have to download then glue the show back together, and hope you don't have a clip missing or in the wrong position!!! I managed to download quite a few shows while he was still up... what program would you (or anyone else) recommend for 'gluing a show back together' from those 5 minute clips? I burned them as individual MP3s to a disk, but when I play a whole folder of them in the car stereo, there's that 'pause' between tracks.

There are a TON of mp3 joiner freeware - just a matter of personal taste. Personally, I like Meda Mp3 Joiner Version 1.2 - very user friendly: www.medafan.com/I hope this helps out!

I use Easy Media Creator 10 which isn't free, but it does an incredible job of editing MP3's and other formats. But as others have already mentioned there is freeware out there that will do just as well.
