this show was among the first old AT40's I listened to when I first started collecting them. So, it brought back memories.....again.

This week it was Apr 23, 1983 and began with #31. Probably the AT40 most hated by Michael Jackson since a song that prevented him from having back to back #1s was at #1. This show was originally run as a Flashback the weekend of April 28, 2001. I've noticed that they've been placing the shows in weird order, and I think they did this so they make sure they don't run a certain year too close together (they did this with 1985 in February, 1986 in March, and 1984 back in April). Since early April, each year has gotten a turn once, without them repeating a year. That is, each year except 1986. And since there was a show from mid-May of that year run as a Flashback (May 17, 1986), that would be the logical choice for next week. So that's my prediction for next week. We'll see if my guess is right then.

I would assume so, seeing that they intermittently use shows from both years.

Ah, but how do we know that they're going to run the show that long, hmmm? With all this talk about the Flashback show (on several different websites), I had a dream last night that the Flashback show was actually back in production, with new episodes and everything. And, they even had the early 80s shows in there, too! What a disappointment it was to wake up from that That wasn't the first AT40 Flashback dream that I ever had. Back in the late summer of 2001, I had a dream that they were running an AT40 Flashback marathon over the holiday weekend, with every show from that week (regular weekly shows, that is; no specials or anything) from 1980 to 1989. I'm surprised that I didn't have any dreams about that show around the time it was cancelled (like that the rumor, as it started, was all false and everything).

Thats really sad that you are dreaming about that show.
I dont see it being produced again although I think it would be cool, I see more than anything else a cease and desist order coming from Premiere to the affiliate.

I've had many dreams about radio and radio shows over the years. Some dreams are about being on the air at my college station, some about listening to a Casey show, sometimes bizzarre ones like AT20 is actually a TV show, etc etc etc. With radio and radio shows being one of my three biggest hobbies, I figure I am bound to dream about it.

I'm just glad I haven't had my recurring dream during college in awhile...I'm doing my college radio show (always from some REALLY wacky place...like my front porch) and don't have the next CD cued up and ready to go. Of course, this Saturday is my college radio station reunion, and I'll be doing a one-hour airshift...GASP!

Scott,
Any way we can listen online?
And don't worry....your nightmare was my reality a few weeks back. Was distracted by the phones, a visit from a fellow DJ, and a bathroom break and when the song had about 8 seconds left I realized NOTHING was cued up to go. So I did an unplanned break, ad-libbed crap for about 30 seconds while I leaned back and grabbed one of the only CD's within reach and put it on without even looking to see what it was.

something has just dawned on me, Premiere had to pay some ungodly rights fee to rebroadcast Billboards chart, is this station paying those now?
