The aforementioned Joe Pizzulo would do the vocals on another Sergio Mendes hit, "Alibis", from the summer of 1984. Love that song; only peaked at #29.
Thinking Dottie West may qualify here, but with a question mark, as Kenny Rogers didn't always receive label credit on "What Are We Doin' In Love". IIRC, Dottie had no other pop top 40 singles.
ETA: In the AT40 2.0 era, "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence featuring Paul McCoy. Paul sings with the band 12 Stones, and in the summer of 2002, I got one of those Christian sampler CDs. 12 Stones had a song on there titled "The Way I Feel". Great song, and I thought would've done well on top 40 radio. What do I know. 🤷♂️ This was several months before the pop world knew of Paul McCoy.

We're lucky that Michael McDonald didn't receive label credit for all of his stuff, or this thread might break the internet.

How about Suzi Quatro and Chris Norman with their 1979 duet called "Stumblin' In"? By the way, Chris Norman was the lead singer of Smokie and they had a #25 hit in 1977--Living Next Door To Alice.

In 2006, there was "Crowded" by Jeannie Ortega f/Papoose, the only hit for either.
And in 2020: "Coffee For Your Head (Death Bed)" by Powfu f/beabadoobee.

"Can't We Try," Dan Hill w/Vonda Shepard. Her only top 40 credit. During the initial Casey era, yes. Vonda had a solo hit in 1998 with "Searchin' My Soul" (the Ally McBeal TV theme.) Did it make the Billboard top 40, or only R&R?

Buckner & Garcia - Pac-Man Fever (1982) Wasn't Buckner & Garcia a duo? Wikipedia lists them as having created other songs together. I would consider them a "one-hit wonder duo" but not separate artists. I don't think of Mouth & MacNeal as being in this same category, as an example. Just looking at the 80's Hot 100 charts from the last week of June, I believe all of the artists below would qualify: * Dara Sedaka, whose only AT40 hit was "Should've Never Let You Go" with Neil Sedaka. * Both Stanley Clarke and George Duke qualify for "Sweet Baby". * Nancy Nash's only chart hit was "When It's Over" with Loverboy. * Julio Iglesias hit AT40 with "To All The Girls I've Loved Before" with Willie Nelson, and "All Of You" with Diana Ross... but never solo. * Max Headroom was paired with Art Of Noise on the Top 40 hit "Paranoimia". * Jennifer Rush spend three weeks on AT40 with Elton John on "Flames Of Paradise". * Joe Esposito qualifies twice... he sang with Brenda Russell on the Top 10 hit, "Piano In The Dark", and he sang with Brooklyn Dreams on Donna Summer's hit, "Heaven Knows". * The Fat Boys hit the Top 20 with The Beach Boys on "Wipeout", and with Chubby Checker on "The Twist"... but never by themselves. * Eric B & Rakim sang with Jody Watley on "Friends". While Rakim had a second Top 10 hit with Truth Hurts on "Addictive", Eric B never achieved another chart hit. I wonder how many rap artists would be part of this group...

I'd think many EDM DJ's would also qualify - for instance, I can't think of a David Guetta song that isn't a collaboration! (He doesn't sing and relies on guest vocalists.)

How about "This is Not America" by David Bowie and the Pat Methany Group? Wasn't that the only top 40 credit for Pat Methany Group?
And what about Clarence Clemons & Jackson Browne's "You're a Friend of Mine"? I know Clarence Clemons was a member of the E Street Band, but wasn't this song his only top 40 act as a standalone singer?
And how about Kenny G. featuring Lenny Williams with their song "Don't Make Me Wait for Love"? Wasn't that Lenny Williams' only top 40 credit?

I found these from the 1970's charts from the last week of June: * Delaney & Bonnie had two Top 40 hits but one was credited as "Delaney & Bonnie & Friends". I guess their friends were only good enough to be credited on one song . Their rotating friends over the years included Duane and Gregg Allman, Eric Clapton, Rita Coolidge, King Curtis, George Harrison, Steve Howe, Dave Mason, Leon Russell and others. The song credits to D&B&F was "Never Ending Song Of Love". * "Philadelphia Freedom" was credited to The Elton John Band. It's the only time his band was included by name as the artist. * "Almost Summer" by Celebration featuring Mike Love. Mike Love formed Celebration so he was part of the group. However, Mike Love has never been credited on his own. This one could be included, or "Celebration featuring Mike Love" could be considered a one-hit wonder.

"Lily Was Here" was the sole credit for both Candy Dulfer and (as a solo, non-Eurythmics appearance) David Stewart in the Shadoe era.

Oh well, even if they rotated, at least Delaney and Bonnie, cumulatively, had a lot more friends than Dionne Warwick has. Though I wonder if any of those guys were friends of only Delaney, or only Bonnie, and didn't care for the other one. And I wonder how many friends the Rembrandts had.

And we can't forget about Paradise by the Dash - oh wait. Guest vocals by Ellen Foley, who later became a short-lived cast member of Night Court (she was replaced by the late Markie Post after one season). * Max Headroom was paired with Art Of Noise on the Top 40 hit "Paranoimia". And Art of Noise was also paired with Tom Jones on "Kiss".
