Alongside Elvis Presley,Elton John has the distinction of reaching the top forty for the most consecutive years-Elvis' streak started in 1956 & ended in 1977-That's 21 years-Elton actually bested Elvis-His streak began in late 1970 & ended in 1999-That's almost thirty years.

After an absence of 22 years,Elton returned to the top forty in 2021 with "Cold Heart",which was a duet with Dua Lipa-That song is currently spending a 7th week at # 1 on the Mediabase AC chart.

Yeah cool tune. Nice to see Sacrifice and Kiss The Bride getting some love. He won't play them in concert any longer

On the album chart--two albums that debuted at #1 on the BB Album Chart in 1975--"Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" and later in the year "Rock of The Westies."

"Someone Saved My Life Tonight" was the only single to be released from the "Captain Fantastic" album-It peaked at # 4 in the summer of 1975-"Rock Of The Westies" generated two top forty hits "Island Girl" which went to # 1 & "Grow Some Funk Of Your Own"-The flip side of "Grow Some Funk" was "I Feel Like A Bullet (In The Gun Of Robert Ford)" which recieved a smattering of airplay.

I just heard a few days ago that Elton has teamed up with Britney Spears to do a remake of his 1972 classic "Tiny Dancer"-It's due to come out in August.
