Kidney failure took the life of Howard Grimes. The legendary drummer died February 12 at the age of 80.
Known as "The Bulldog", Howard was the drummer for the house band at Hi records during its heyday in the 70s. He was behind the kit for all the Al Green records and other soul classics such as Ann Peebles "I Can't Stand The Rain".
