Wow! Talk about a popular singer at one point in time whose death went unnoticed by almost everyone! R.I.P. to the singer who gave us "Power of Love" and "Get Down, Get Down (Get on the Floor)", and "Drowning in the Sea of Love" among many others.

Very sad to hear about Joe Simon. Believe he had the most charting singles on Billboard's Hot 100 without reaching the Top 5.
"Drowning In The Sea Of Love" is my favorite of his. It was covered by Ringo and Boz Scaggs through the years.
Also really like "The Chokin' Kind". Won a Grammy for him in 1970.
"Music In My Bones" is another good one. It's basically a "Get Down, Get Down (On The Floor)" sound-alike follow-up single...and that's a good thing!
Speaking of "Get Down...", any song that advocates kung-fu bumping gets a thumbs-up in my book!

"Get Down" turned out to be Joe's biggest hit-It reached the top ten in the spring of 1975.
