You forgot to mention Steinman's own hit, “Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through”. The album version was my favorite.
RIP.

Steinman's version of "Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through" was, in my opinion, the best Top 40 track of 1981. Truly, it was underrated and underplayed. However, with the airplay it received as a summer hit, I've always thought that "the beach is yours forever" would've also been a great lyric. By the way, AT40 played the full version of the song (6+ minutes) at least once, on the show dated July 25, 1981. RIP, Jim Steinman.

The singer on Jim Steinman's 1981 hit "Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through" was Rory Dodd-He appeared on Bonnie Tyler's 1983 megahit "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" which was also written by Jim Steinman.
