How old was the girl on "Run Joey Run"? She sounded pretty young. (Which would explain why Daddy was so upset .) I doubt Dad was made any less upset by being told they were gonna get married either. Run, Joey!

I was just listening to Why by Donny Osmond (long story) and I need to add another qualifier to this.
No kids who got label credit on any 45s! Without that qualifier the Osmonds (and Jacksons etc) would qualify on some of those solo hits.

So in order of mention we have SING PLAYGROUND IN MY MIND EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW IS LOVE/ABRAHAM MARTIN AND JOHN YOU AND ME AGAINST THE WORLD SCHOOL'S OUT (the one that was bouncing around my brain all night and i couldn't remember what song it was - hate it when that happens) BLACK AND WHITE (on same show with SCHOOL'S OUT!) RUN JOEY RUN AND POST 1988 TOY SOLDIERS AND IN 1990 ON SAME SHOW UP ALL NIGHT CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT Hey how about everyone's favorite - ONCE YOU UNDERSTAND? Or were the son and daughter members of the band Think? I think the Cook family was also heard on THE 12 PAINS OF CHRISTMAS. Except for the son of course.

Too bad these songs with kid choir voices didn't make the AT40 reaches: "Hands Across America" by Voices of America (1986) "If You Believe" by Kenny Loggins (1992) Also Voice Of Freedom by Jim Kirk and the TM Singers, which TM later offered as a localized "jingle", the memory of which is causing me to regret starting this thread. Though I suppose the little girl might have been a member of the TM Singers which would disqualify her. Same with Hands Across America? And another AT40 miss "Dear Mr. Jesus" by Powersource in 1987-1988 featured mostly kids singing.

So does that mean "You Haven't Done Nothin'" by Stevie Wonder doesn't count because the Jacksons sang backup?

There was a controversial record back in 1986/1987 called "Dear God" by XTC. There were threats by certain Christian groups to radio stations who played it due to it's atheist nature.

Have that 45--great song. Did not chart on 'Billboard', unlike "The Mayor Of Simpleton", which got to #72 in '89. They did have hits in the UK.

I hereby rule the Jackson 5 INELIGIBLE for their participation on You Haven't Done Nothin', the song that will be remembered for attempting to shut the barn door after the horse had bolted. ha ha I initially typed bran instead of barn. Must be a senior thing.

A few weeks back, Ryan mentioned that "All My Life" by Lil Durk f/J. Cole has a kids' choir.

Funny how I come across this thread today because I'm listening to the 7/27/1985 show on the Classic AT40 channel and just heard a song that has a chorus of kids: We Don't Need Another Hero.

I think I found one from June 1990. Children sing a piece of "My Country Tis Of Thee" at the end of Slaughter's "Up All Night" while children sing along the chorus towards the end of Richard Marx's "Children Of The Night". I suppose if we want to get technical, I believe AT40 always played the single edit of "Up All Night" so the children in that song weren't actually heard on the show.

How about Three Dog Night's "Black and White" in 1972? It had a kid chorus singing with the Three Dog Night group for the last singing of the song choruses.
