Casey and the MD Telethon

I know that each Labor Day weekend Casey Kasem works closely with Jerry Lewis and his Muscular Dystrophy telethon. I assume Casey will once again be featured in the telethon. Does anyone know when we may be able to catch a rare TV glimpse of our favorite radio personality this Labor Day?

Caught a few shots of him this morning around 8:00am eastern, thanking sponsors as well as the local hosts that the the telethon for no pay and little sleep. He looks good!

I saw Casey on the telethon last night, and he looks like well, Casey as usual.

The telethon was a big piece of my childhood, I miss it immensely. Labor Day is a sad reminder of all the legendary stars that used to appear on it that we have lost.

I waited all year to watch Jerry, Ed and of course Casey Kasem. It was my unofficial end to Summer. Young people today probably have a hard time believing the telethon was the bomb, one of the biggest events of the entire year. In the days before Youtube and Netflix, Labor Day was the only time to see 22 1/2 straight hours of entertainment, all live, with legends like Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.

I need a timpani!
