The loss of any founding member of Tower Of Power like Francis "Rocco" Prestia certainly leaves a void in the music world. I love their music, and have always been a sucker for horns. Their 70s output is pretty well known and great stuff, but over the years probably my favorite of theirs came on a 1993 release titled "T.O.P." Francis really carries that bottom end bass groove on this one. Soul With A Capital 'S' - Tower Of PowerRIP Francis. Your funk will certainly be missed.

May Rocco Prestia rest in peace. Tower of Power - So Very Hard to Go (#17 AT40 1973 & #76 Opus 73) One of the greatest R&B songs of all time! The chorus is so powerful and gut-wrenching!

Of course there is this one...
Peaked at #91; should be more like #19.
