Pat Fairley, original member and bassist for Marmalade passed away Tuesday, August 12 at the age of 76. Although Marmalade was well known world-wide for their hit "Reflections Of My Life" (and "Rainbow" to a lesser extent), they were a great success in the UK. Between 1968 and 1972 they placed 10 singles on the UK charts. In 1969, they became the first Scottish band to top the UK singles charts with their cover of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da". Pat left the band in 1972. In the late 70s, he moved to Los Angeles and worked in music publishing for RSO records and the band Yes. He retired from music in the early 80s and opened a successful bar/music venue in Los Angeles called The Scotland Yard. In 2018 the venue was sold and Pat settled into retirement. Obituary
