Jamie Oldaker succumbed to cancer at age 68 on July 16, 2020. Jamie was a Tulsa native who appeared on the Ed Sullivan show drumming for trumpeter Phil Driscoll. He was hired by Leon Russell to be the house drummer for Tulsa based Shelter Records. Through Tulsa duo Teegarden & Van Winkle, Jamie was introduced to Bob Seger and played on his "Back In '72" album He was hired by Eric Clapton for "461 Ocean Boulevard", the first of 11 consecutive Clapton albums on which Jamie would drum. It was his work with Clapton that caused Peter Frampton to recruit Jamie for session work and touring in the late 70s and early 80s. Other work included a stint with Frehley's Comet, and managing country rocker Ronnie Dunn. He was also a founding member of the country-rock group The Tractors, who were nominated for 2 Grammys in the mid-90s. In 2010, Jamie was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall Of Fame. Obituary
