Bobby Lewis passed away April 28 at the age of 95. He had been suffering from complications due to pneumonia. His "Tossin' And Turnin'" was Billboard's #1 song of 1961, one of only 6 songs to spend at least 7 weeks topping the Hot 100 during the 60s. - The Theme From "A Summer's Place" - Percy Faith Orchestra, 9 weeks, 1960 - Tossin' And Turnin' - Bobby Lewis, 7 weeks, 1961 - I Want To Hold Your Hand - Beatles, 7 weeks, 1964 - I'm A Believer - Monkees, 7 weeks, 1966 - Hey Jude - Beatles, 9 weeks, 1968 - I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye, 7 weeks, 1968/1969 Bobby's follow up "One Track Mind" would peak at #9, but further success would elude him.
