4/9/1988: 1) On Fishnet at #27, Morris Day's name is beside the title rather than under it. 2) Tiffany is at #11 with I Saw Him Statnding There.

I was listening to the 2/1/1975 show on the Classic AT40 channel and decided to look at the cue sheet for it; I ended up finding two errors: #35: Only You - Ring Starr. #30: I'm a Woman - Marie Muldaur

The official cue sheet for 4/15/72 has Bobby Vinton's "Every Day of Life" at #25.
Oh, and the Charis site has the original production sheets for that week, with handwritten notes such as "Theme at end runs too long, fade if necessary. It do look like a f**kup, tho!"

Just one for 4/20/1985: Rather than being on fire at #6 in the countdown, Bruce Springsteen was in fire.

Two from 5/1/1982: 1) After Empty Garden at #23 is the extra Wasted Days and Wasted Nights by Freddie Fender. 2) At #9, Paul Daivs sings about having a '65 Love Affair.

One error from 4/25/1987: Always is listed at #35 instead of #33.

From 5/14/77, there' "Uptown Festival" by "Chalamar". Plus, not a cue sheet error, but this may have been one of the weeks when AT40 played the B side of "Got To Give It Up", rather than the A (specified as Pt. 1 on the cue sheet.) Maybe Premiere corrected this?
No errors regarding content in the 5/7/88 show, but some typos or quibbles such as "Everything Your Heart Desires" by "Daryl Hall John Oates" (no "and" or &) and "Devil Inside" by "Inxs" (all four letters should be capitalized).

"Everything Your Heart Desires" by "Daryl Hall John Oates" (no "and" or &) That was actually how Billboard printed their name for many years. My brother and I used to joke that it was actually one guy with a really long name!

A big error on the cue sheet for the 7/17/1982 show: every date on each page has the week ending date as 7/ 18/1982 (which would explain why the link has the incorrect date). ETA: A more minor one is that Don't You Want Me in the Top 3 recap is credited to Human League and at #1 as The Human League.

5/17/1986: 1) Beginning of the cue sheet "NOW, AMERICAN TOP 40 BROUGHT TO YOU IN PARY BY NEW ROCKY ROAD CEREAL". 2) Tears for Fears is at #30 with Mother Talk. 3) At #11 is the duet On My Own by Patti Labelle and George Michael. Also, there's only one LDD listed (Bread's Everything I Own); I suspect there's another one involving a song in the countdown*. All four letters are capitalized on the cue sheet (at #39 with What You Need) *There is; Rain on the Scarecrow at #37 is also a LDD in its first week in the countdown.

Not really a cue sheet error, but half the pages are missing on the one for the 5/23/1987 show. ETA: I found two errors on the pages that are available and both of them are on the "Topical Promos" sheet: 1) U2 CAN BE BUMBER ONE 2) WHITNEY WETURNSThese are more nitpicks, but the sheet also has some words that shouldn't be capitalized (woman, successful debut album, ballad).

Just one from 5/24/1980: The Spinners' latest hit (debuting at #29) was only listed as "Cupid"; the "I've Loved You For a Long Time" part wasn't added until its third week in the countdown (6/7) where it stayed for the rest of its run.

In some ways I find it humorous that are picking on the poor person that typed up the cue sheets for AT40, especially in light of the fact that there was no spellcheck then. I know that I would be in a boatload of trouble without that tool today.
