AT40 only did a top 40 of the year that year, so there would be no cue sheets for #80-#41. The top 80 for 1971 that is airing this year is a "new" show for part 1, #80-#41. Is omission an error? I can't find the 1971 Yearend Countdown for Numbers 80-41. When I go to the cue sheets, it gives 12-25-71 as the Christmas Countdown, and 1-1-72 gives number 40 thru 1. If anyone can post this, it sure would be appreciated. I do love following along with the songs played. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

Thanks for clearing that up--I guess I will be surprised along with all other listeners.

Just like it was done with 1973 a few years ago, part 1 is an "artificial" creation. Casey didn't actually count down songs 80-41, but it's going to sound like he did. kenmartin did a wonderful job on that 1973 countdown, and I'm really looking forward to the 1971 show. 🙂 So that's why there's no cue sheets for that part of the show.

Premiere has to make the cue sheet for AT40 Top 80 of 1971 #80-#41.

It would be nice if there was a repository for these premiere cue sheets...they also keep track of the optional extras.

Cue sheet mistakes for 1971 Countdown: Cue sheet has "Help Me Make It Through the Night" at 37, but is 36, "Rainy Days and Mondays" at 38 but is 37, and "If I Could Read Your Mind at 36 but is 38.

Actually, the list of BB's Top 100 singles for 1971 on Wikipedia is wrong. The cue sheet is correct as it matches the year end pop singles chart in the 12/25/1971 issue of BB as well as the original 1971 AT40 YE show.

The one for the 1/19/1980 has just one: Blinded By the Light (the third archive) does not have the group's name mentioned.

1/4/1975 has "The Entertaineer" by Billy Joel, "You Got the Love" by Rufus "featurning" Chaka Khan, and "Sha-La-La (Makes Me Happy)" by Al Green (it was actually "Make Me Happy" without the S).

There aren't any errors on the 1/19/1985 cue sheet, but there were two strange things I noticed: 1) On Neutron Dance at #20, the "The" in "The Pointer Sisters" is in parenthesis. 2) Whoever originally had this cue sheet in their possession must have been in denial that Philip Bailey and Phil Collins where at #5 with Easy Lover, as the entire entry is crossed out.

Just one from the 1/21/1984 show: Elton John is at #6 with "I Guess That's Why They Call It Blues".

One error on the 1/30/1982 cue sheet: At #24, Love is Alright Tonite is written as Love is Alright Tonight.

1/22/72 has at #35 "Joy" by "Appollo" (no 100) and at #8 "Cleanup Woman" by Betty Wright (Clean Up was actually written as two words.)
1/22/77 has at #37 "You've Got My Runnin'" by Gene Cotton; at #8 "After the Lovin'" by "Englebert" Humperdinck; and if you really want to get picky there is no hyphen in the "Bar Kays" at #31.
