I have a question for everybody. I would like to know if any of the Adult Contemporary radio stations in your area does a oldies weekend? Well, here in Detroit, we have 2 here that does oldies weekend.
1. WNIC-100.3 FM, which does a thing called "Flashback Weekend", which plays dance hits from the 70's & 80's.
2. WMGC-105.1 FM, which does "Class reunion weekend", like WNIC plays dance hits from the 70's and 80's.
3. CIDR-93.9 FM, although they don't do an oldies weekend, they have a show called "Boogie Nights" which plays dance hits from the 70's -90's, and they are on Saturday nights from 7pm-11pm
4. WDVD-96.3 FM, which does an all 80's shows on Saturday nights from 8pm-midnight.

I thought when you said "Oldies" you meant REAL oldies, not 80's. For several years we had an AC station in the area that aired "Rock & Roll's Greatest Hits with Dick Bartley", a live oldies request show on Saturday nights, and then a 70's show I can't remember the name of on Sundays. I think the 70's show was cancelled at some point. I'm pretty sure Dick Bartley's show is still around, but it's not heard in my market anymore because the former AC station flipped formats to "Real Country" so they obviously don't air rock & roll oldies shows anymore.

Sunny 101.5 in South Bend does "Totally 80s Weekends". I found that out when I was changing the station from U93 to Pulse FM so I could listen to a music countdown on that show. The dial stopped on Sunny 101.5 and I heard Casey Kasem's voice. It turned out to be AT40 Flashback, one of my favorite shows, so I stayed tuned to Sunny. After the commercial breaks, the station advertised "Totally 80s Weekends". The next weekend, I found out that "Totally 80s Weekends" were a weekly thing. There are a few other 80s shows on the station, I think, but I generally don't listen to the station anymore, since they play all the tired, overplayed 80s songs.

Anybody else here really miss "The Lost 45's with Barry Scott"? Man, Saturday nights haven't been nearly as much fun since that show left syndication.

WTIC in Hartford, CT does "Wayback Weekends" every week, where they play a fairly decent selection of pop hits from the mid 70's through early 90's.

I really miss the Lost 45s as well. In fact, back in 1996 and early 1997, here in Detroit, the Lost 45s was played on 97.1 FM, which was then known as WYST, Star 97 FM, which played the greatest hits of the 70's. They played the show every Sunday night until the station changed its format and became a rock station, and the Lost 45s was dropped from the station. Then I later listened to the Lost 45s on the Internet through their website, "Lost45s.com", until they stopped airing the show online. I really miss that show.

101.9 Lite FM (Baltimore) does "Flashback Weekends" featuring mostly 60s/70s music (lately the 80s have been seeping in there as well.) These weekends include AT40 from the 1970s.
I remember for a time in the mid-90s in Washington DC there was an all-70s station that included the "Lost 45s" show, complete with our Schoolhouse Rock lesson for the week.
