tuned in SpiritFM Helsinki and on the friday slot I don´t find Casey at 10pm local time  - just awful Rick Dees voice  ...hopefully they just loadded the wrong files on the pc and next week Casey is back??!! Now I hope to catch Casey at the second or third broadcast |

Two weeks in a row, KABQ didn't play the 4th extra. Interestingly, my local station, KOSF, which normally does not play extras, DID play the 4th extra (I don't know if they played the 1st three on Sunday), the Sammy Hagar song.

Like I mentioned in the 70's station thread, I am toying with the idea of changing the format to a table. Here are the first handful of stations in this format. Space becomes an issue - so some of what I am doing is: - creating separate tables for each day of the week (keeps me from having to crate a column for the day of the week) - removed the station "slogan" (not sure how necessary that is) - clicking on call letters takes you to website - I am displaying "abbreviated" stream links instead of displaying the entire link to save space. Let me know if you all like this, or don't like it. I can see the comments section getting convoluted, not sure how to improve that. But, I would like some feedback before continuing down this road, because it is very time consuming. If you all prefer the way it is, great! Really like this-Tables are much better than lists. Couple of ideas to save column space: 1. Do you need a frequency column?...i'd guess most who use it listen via the net anyway so the station frequency locally is probably redundant. 2. Combine the state letters into the state column so Orlando FL is in the same column rather than having a separate column just for the state letters.Don't know what others think but FWIW those would be my suggestions. This would make room for one more column. I'd suggest a column that reveals whether the station airs the B option show and under what circumstances (if this is consistent). In most cases the B option will be aired if it is from later or earlier in the decade. I think it would help to know this information. |

Appreciate all the comments on the table format. But that's what makes it difficult - what info to include in a strict format? - because there is an awful lot of information included in the current free form format. I have added KTSO's Tuesday night broadcast to the list. I heard some of their broadcast this past Tuesday evening. SFGuy - I do have KABQ listed as airing the first 3 extras. |

I'll have to check tomorrow afternoon* to make sure but if the front page of their website is correct, WGHN might possibly have dropped both AT40 shows.
*It'll be around noon or so because Michigan State has an 8:00 PM game this weekend.
ETA: After doing some research, it appears that they do still air the show but they just don't have it posted on the front page. I'll still check and make sure, though.
ETA (again): They have the 1980 show on right now, so they have not dropped the show. Sorry for the false alarm.

I'm listening to this station for the first time since WGHN's player is down thanks to football; I turned it on at two minutes after 8 and they were on the #39 song of the 10/31/1981 show, so they likely started about 10 minutes early.

^WPTY (Oldies 98.1 Patchogue NY), which airs the 70s 9 am Sunday morning is less than 10 miles from WLIX. So, I suspect a Long Island station will pick up the 80s.

That link mentions WLIX losing two translators. The main station will still be broadcasting. Don't see why this means we are losing WLIX? |
