Didn't know there was a Part 2 to 1965, but whenever you are ready to proceed with 1966 please give an indication. As Joe has done countdowns recently from the 70's, do you eventually want to tackle the 70's--that is when I have plenty of nominations. Thanks chrislc (sorry for earlier spelling thought the "1" was an "i"

I may be able to do two parts per year through 1969 but thanks to the Casey shows, Joe had only a few new songs for me in the 70s at the most.

Really enjoying the 8-6-66 countdown that Joe provided. Interesting survey, and not even one song held its previous week's position! That is a rare occurrence.

Listening to the 8-17-68 Cashbox Countdown. As an extra, Joe, you mentioned that Twist and Shout peaked at #9, but actually it reached #7 after 2 weeks at #9 on 8-25-62, then fell to 11.

Okay here we go with 1966. These are songs I enjoy the most that I have heard on Joe’s great shows the last few years and either had never heard before or had forgotten. Attack...Toys At The Scene...Dave Clark Five It Won’t Be Wrong...Byrds Walkin’ My Cat Named Dog...Norma Tanega The “A” Team...SSgt. Barry Sadler History Repeats Itself...Buddy Starcher...so bad it’s good Day For Decision...Johnny Sea...ditto...lol when Joe announced it I thought it was “Johnny C.”...yes I think we see what you tried to do there, Johnny. Well that wraps up the first half of 1966, and I didn’t even come up with 10. Maybe things will pick up in the second half. Joe, it looks like you really let me down here.

I love the summer and fall of 1966 Top 40, maybe more than any six month period of my life. These are my favorite hits that Joe either introduced me to from this period, or he played and I had forgotten about.
5 D...Byrds Can I Trust You?...Bachelors My Heart’s Symphony...Gary Lewis & The Playboys Born A Woman...Sandy Posey See See Rider...Animals The Hair On My Chinny Chin Chin...Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs B-A-B-Y...Carla Thomas All I See Is You...Dusty Springfield FA-FA-FA-FA-FA (Sad Song)...Otis Redding Pandora’s Golden Heebie Jeebies...Association Single Girl...Sandy Posey Help Me Girl...Eric Burdon & The Animals
I had wondered about the Association song being new to me since I owned their greatest hits LP back in the 60s/70s, but it turns out this song was not included on the LP even though a few songs that didn’t make the Top 40 were included.
Also I may have mentioned this before, but Wow all the Animals hits sound so great, all these years later.

Enjoying 9-11-65 so much and greatly appreciated Joe, for this and all your other countdowns on here and Rewind! I just looked at the Cashbox Chart for this survey, and wow--6 out of the Top 11 songs all debuted on the Cashbox 100 on 7-31-65.

I tried to look at Cashbox charts, but now there is a mandated sign-in procedure. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks, Jeff
