According to one of my Joel Whitburn reference books, Tammi Terrell, due to her health issues, did not actually sing on "The Onion Song". Valerie Simpson sang the female part on that song, as well as two other "Marvin & Tammi" chart entries. (RIP Tammi Terrell)

According to one of my Joel Whitburn reference books, Tammi Terrell, due to her health issues, did not actually sing on "The Onion Song". Valerie Simpson sang the female part on that song, as well as two other "Marvin & Tammi" chart entries. (RIP Tammi Terrell) Her Wiki entry leaves it undetermined, with both sides of the story. Apparently Marvin thought it was true. Valerie Simpson does not: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammi_Terrell
