I'm guessing the first extra got cut out.
It's playing now.

I caught that and happened to be in the building as I had another program to work on. I hit the next element which was our local spot break. Meanwhile I saw the first segment was still rolling silently. I don't know other stations that air this special but if you hear of one, let me know if there was silence after the David Bowie before the end of the first break. I checked the file and it was blank but kept rolling. Had I not been here the silence would have been over 10-15 minutes. I kept listening to it and the show actually starts over again near the end, then cuts off. That's what would have aired. The file that was downloaded was simply that way. Let me know what you hear on other stations. Might want to warn them but chances are you won't find anyone in. I checked all future segments and we're good. I can go home now! Whew! Anyone happen to catch KCLH yesterday and find this? They're the only other one so far who it's been mentioned that they'd air this. In any case, it's great that you were there to catch that and thanks for double-checking! Other than that hiccup, so far this has been great.

It was a fun countdown...the GIANTS special. It ended about the time I thought it would with all the commercials but it was set for that so all those great extras could play. Plus it was the first-ever afternoon airing of the show on WODC. Led Zeppelin, Chuck Berry, Elvis, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder all in the same afternoon? Only Casey!

I got it recorded on WODC and looking forward to cranking it in my car. Thanks Mike for going over and above by including this 80's B show in your schedule along with both 70's shows tomorrow!

Thank you retroguy and you're welcome. Hope you left extra recording time. That thing didn't end until :30 after. Sweet Beatles at THE END of the show! When I saw the GIANTS list I knew I just had to have it on! Tomorrow's shows are great. July 10, 1976---right at America's bicentennial. Remember those Bicentennial Minutes on CBS? And I love Ken Martin's work on the #1 Hits of the 1970s. I can't wait for Labor Day Weekend. I know that's when the next and last one for the #1 70s has to roll around.

Yes I did get the whole thing and Yes, I do remember the bicentennial minutes even though I was only 10 at the time. You just jogged that memory. I can remember things back to 1969 when I was only 3. I love 70's music (overall best decade in music) as I started becoming an avid pop music fan in 1972.

What is next weekend? Other than Brexit aftermath I don't know what's happening next weekend.

Isn't next week Jun 26, not 4th of July weekend? It's little too early to predict for this

Maybe lasvegaskid is giddy at getting an NHL team and likely the Oakland Raiders too and so wants to skip ahead in time. Or maybe every weekend is like a holiday weekend in Vegas and it is hard to know when it is really a holiday weekend.

I'm still going to stick with predicting 7/3/76, #1 Hits of the Past 40 Years for its 40th Anniversary on 4th of July Weekend 2016, like I already did last year!
