We just got passed April Fool's Day 2021, so I present some Bottom of the Charts for real. First, what if AT40 was launched in early 1970 instead of July 1971 (Remember when Sirius XM 70's on 7 played a faux AT40 show using a Billboard April 1970 chart with a current guest host doing Casey Kasem's chores?)? For the first 2 April weekend dates depending on starting the week behind or normal date, these would have been the bottom of the charts: 4/4/1970: Entering at #100 but peaking at that bottom position is little known R&B singer Howard Tate with "My Soul's Got a Hole In It": www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8QbecKSI6E4/11/1970: Entering at #100 but only getting up to #97 is Oliver with "Angelica": www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M18jeGmTSUTHESE NEXT ONES COME FROM SHADOE STEVENS AT40 SHOWS FROM APRIL FOOLS DATES OR CLOSE TO THEM: 4/1/1989: #100 is "Walking Away" by Information Society, and #99 is "The Way You Love Me" by Karyn White, and on to #98 and dropping to that position from #83 after peaking at #75 is a little known Scottish group called Love and Money with "Halleluiah Man": www.youtube.com/watch?v=109qKHc1UxA3/31/1990 (That Shadoe AT40 show had 2 April Fools jokes in hour #3! One dealing with starting the hour with the #1 song, another dealing with when Billy Joel first recording pre 1970's or something like that!): Dropping to #100 from #97 after peaking at #82 is John Farnham with "You're the Voice": www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbkOZTSvrHs3/30/1991: At #100 is "Play That Funky Music" by Vanilla Ice, and on to #99 and dropping to that position from #63 after peaking at #54 is a cover of a John Lennon song called "Give Peace a Chance" by an all star group benefit called the Peace Choir who recorded the song to hope for peace in the 2 month 1991 original Gulf War. I have posted 2 links for this, first, here's the single version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb-az8ExpLg...and now, here's a video documentary on the making of the music video (which starts off before the docu-stuff) for this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVXuKIhnTGw3/28/1992 (From the Shadoe AT40 Top 40 Radio Monitor Chart Source era): Entering at #75 are R. Kelly and Public Announcement with "She's Got That Vibe": www.youtube.com/watch?v=huWaneOod3I
