Casey Kasem Bill Is Passed In Iowa

Radio station WHO's talk show host Simon Conway's promise to Kerri Kasem was fulfilled when legislation was passed in Iowa protecting visitation rights for adult children of elderly, infirm patients.

According to Kerri, the Texas Legislature just passed a visitation bill allowing all relatives the right to seek visitation to relatives without court challenge. Another victory for Kasem Cares (and the Texas Lege passing anything constructive is quite an achievement IMO.)

And this week Kerri's legislation, lobbied by the Kasem Cares Foundation, passed (unanimously) in the Kasem family's home state of California.

I learned this on Thursday from Kerri's post on Facebook. As a California resident, I'm proud of our legislature. First came their 37-0 vote, and now we await Governor Brown's signature.  Daddy's watching...

This may be the only time in our lives when we see the CA and TX legislatures agree on anything!
