Wow, 2001 again so soon? I guess they must be loving this particular year - maybe it's possible that in two weeks from now that they may be airing a special ACC Rewind show. We'll see...

One thing I find weird is how the ACC archives at some point between late 94 and early 95 (guess it could have been the first chart of 95) went from playing 25 years of #1s alphabetically to becoming just alphabetical playback of songs from the 80s and 90s.

I'm hoping this weekend they will pick a year they haven't done yet...
Ok, just hearing that they are doing 1990 today via WLAW (June 23, 1990 to be precise).

Bob said at the end of ACC REWIND June 4, 2005 after the end of the number 1 song played for the second week at the top. Maybe on latter shows, it was difficult to edit the weekending Saturday date out. But for example this weekend as soon as Bob said #1 by George Strait was on top for the third week, his outro abrubtly ends; the Cumulus female announcer cuts in with her usual "the show was from this week in ----" (e.g. 1990 for this weekend's case), then followed by the extended theme song. No original end credits from Bob either, the way they include Casey's outro announcements on Premiere's AT40 reruns.

This is not the case when the show is put on the CT40.com website, as the original credits, theme packages, and all are left intact just as if it were an original commercial free remastered show.

At least it wasn't as bad as the other time when 2001 appeared so soon about a month after it was first featured. Still waiting for 1994, 1995, 1996, as well as 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2002 to each get their turns...

Listening to the 7/13/91 show now, and was reminded to make my car payment by the #25 song. Now, two more payments and it's mine.
This countdown includes Marty Robbins' "Don't Worry" as an extra, as it was in the 1971 AT40 played last weekend, with a very similar story about how the fuzz-tone guitar sound came to be.

Once again another year is being repeated, this time it is 2004. When will 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2002 air?
FYI - this week's show is from July 17, 2004.
