They did play a new 70's show this morning, 6/7/1975 when they reached the end of the list. That was one of the shows played last weekend on various stations. Will have to see if it's played again when it comes back around in about three weeks. They didn't play any new 80's show.

According to the comments, it aired after the 6/7/1986 show; the show that used to come on afterwards (6/3/1972) came on after the 1/26/1980 show. ETA: After making adjustments to the list I keep for myself, there's two 70s shows at the bottom of the list back-to-back so I suspect there'll be a new 80s show a few weeks from now to put between them.

They may have done it that way intentionally. By adding an extra show to one list, the shows will shift away from each other by one each rotation. That helps prevent the repetitiveness of always hearing the same shows follow each other, something that gets complained about occasionally. It wasn't an issue anymore until they returned to the alternating playback of 80's and 70's shows. That's the way it was done when they played this same format years ago.

Listening now for the first time in ages and hating those Iheart spotlights and Top 3 segments that have been stuck in between the segments of the shows

The year-end marathon is happening this time around; they started with the Top 40 of 1973 and are currently at #26.

They switched back to playing the year-end shows at midnight. Picked back up where they stopped last weekend with the top 25 of 1983. Now currently playing the Top 100 of 1984.

And around 20 minutes ago, they went to the show that was supposed to be on last night at this time (the second half of the Top 100 of 1980) instead of finishing out the 1987 year-end show*. *Not really a big loss since it's in the regular rotation.

iHeartRadio is shutting down the comment sections on their channel pages: Since this includes the Classic AT40 channel, there's two people (so far) who think that they're doing it because iHeart is tired of getting requests for new shows: The end of the Facebook comments on the the Classic AT40 channel began when people started posting links to illegal copies of AT40 shows that were available on Mixcloud. IHeart changed the settings on the chatboard to no longer allow anyone to post links at all anymore. When they made the change, I personally received instant notification from Facebook of more than a hundred individual posts I had made on their chatboard over the last seven years that no longer met their standards since they included links to song playlists of AT40 shows being played at the time. The station is automated and the chat was unmonitored the majority of the time. I believe IHeart just decided to eliminate it at that point because it was hardly being used on most of their stations anyways. If IHeart was unhappy with the complaints being posted about the programming, they would have ended it years ago.

We're almost at the bottom of the list again so a new 80's show should be added to the list in a couple of days.

Looks like we're not going to be getting a new 80's show: the iHeartRadio comments are still available and according to the guy who posts the schedule, the show coming on after the one on now (2/18/1978) is going to be 6/7/1986 followed by 2/9/1974; 6/7/1975 will now come on after the 1/26/1980 show. The next chance of getting a new show is around the end of August after the 10/21/1972 show airs.
ETA: 6/7/1986 is now on.

We're almost at the bottom of the list once again; if a new 80's show finally gets added to the list it would be happening Sunday morning between 5:30 and 6:00 AM after the 10/21/1972 show.
