1972's year end show just ended and I am really glad they didn't do the end of the hour re-caps on future shows--It got kinda redundant after awhile.  Hopefully they will have a chance to play all the year end shows twice before returning to the SOS (same old stuff). |

They did this during Thanksgiving week and didn't switch from 70s to 80s back and forth doing it order and they seem to be doing the same. I expect them to go all the way until 1987. |

If they do the same as last Christmas then...
After the Top 100 of 1987 they will play the Newcomers of the 80's special, and then the Top 50 Hits of the 1970's (which originally aired on 1/5/1980)... and then they'll replay all the end of year shows once more.
Unfortunately the Top 50 Hits of the 1970's is always a mess... Skips all over the place, replays segments twice, and suddenly ends around number 13.

I'm assuming they are playing the top 100 of 1982 ... but it's at the wrong speed. It sounds like Lurch is waking up from a hangover. I can't understand the words Casey is saying, but the music is plain as day, just slower and muddier.

Top 50 of the 70s goes 50-47, 29-26, 18-13, 37-13 and ends there. Same thing last year. How does no one at I Heart try to fix this? |

Iheartmedia (formerly Clear Channel) is in bad financial shape and has cut back on staff over the last few years--so I am sure that the Classic AT40 channel is a very low priority. I know that those of us that listen to it wish someone would fix the problems with that streaming channel but since they let it run on 'auto-pilot' for so long and did not add any new shows for quite awhile--I don't hold my breath waiting for the fix.
