They jumped ahead to the start of the 1982 show at midnight cutting off more than 20 songs from the end of the 1981 show.

1983 starting in a few minutes.
Wow @ Waiting For A Girl Like You, 10 weeks at number 2. I love stats like that. I think the record here in UK is All 4 One - I Swear. Without checking I think it spent 6 weeks at number 2. Although Bieber is getting close to equalling with Let Me Love You.

Now playing Newcomers of the 80's I just started listening to this show. One interesting observation about this show, although it originally aired in May 1988, it opened with the remixed 1984 theme (The one that had an orchestral rendition of the original 1970 main theme replacing the synth fanfare) that was in use between early 1985 and spring 1987.

Oops, The computer didn't play the last segment of the 1980's newcomer's special--leaving everyone in the dark about the artist at the top spot (Madonna). Instead the Top 50 of the 1970's began. Thanks iheart radio computer.

Wow, lots and lots of new shows! Will be interesting to see if the shows that have been on the channel for several months are being replaced by all these, or just being added on.
Either way, this was very much needed.
ETA: Excluding the Producers Special, I wonder if any regular shows from October of any year will be added. That's the one month not represented on this channel.
