a few days ago the 80s shows jumped out of order and the times were different every show moved up a time slot then last night it jumped back into order, i wish they would change the order up from time to time there are some shows that get played on the overnights that we always miss, also when are "new" shows going to be added??? I heart hasnt added any shows since june! this is going on 7 months, not sure how they are doing over on the 70s shows

Right now the 40 Most Extraordinary British Hits Special (4/6/74) is on the channel. No idea if other shows were added to the channel in the last few days.

I guess the top 50 of the 70's can be removed because they went from playing 6/16/84 to 6/7/86 in the 80's rotation. I was recording because I don't have that show but to no avail.

They didn't play the 40 Most Extraordinary British Hits special neither. Both shows were played only once on the channel and now it seems they are removed. I have now removed both shows from the list.

Been listening the last couple days for the first time in a while -- noticing that the "extras" on 2 '80s countdowns were from the wrong year. Just now a 1984 show had an extra from '82 -- Laura Branigan's "Gloria", played right after her '84 hit "Self Control" aired in the countdown . And yesterday, right after Rick Springield's "Don't Talk to Strangers" played in a 1982 show, the extra was his "Jessie's Girl" from the year before. Coincidence?

Well it looks like this practice is on purpose -- just before Lionel Ritchie was played at # 1 in a late-1985 show, we got his 1983 hit "You Are" as an extra. This is not something they are doing with '70s shows, however.

I occasionally will listen to the 80s show that airs typically between 8:30am-11:50am Eastern while at work. I don't think they have ever played the Larry Morgan extras that correspond with the show. Not sure why. This morning they played 12/21/85 and I tuned in for the second half of the show. They played an extra from the correct show in hour 2, but played a Duran Duran extra from that same 1983 show as referenced above. I didn't think anything of it, but it did play near "Election Day" by Ambrosia, which is essentially a Duran Duran song. Odd coincidence or ridiculously weird thing they are doing on purpose? Hmm.

It appears to vary. Several 80s shows have had extras from different years. Especially the year end shows. A couple of recent airings had the normal extras.

Listening to the Top 40, er, 36 of 1975 and they played Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" as an extra but it sure sounded like a re-recording and not the original. Hadn't noticed that before.

I was listening to the top 40 songs of 1976. The editing was really bad on it. They cut out my favorite part of "Moonlight Feels Right" (the marimba playing of Bo Wagner). If Premiere was trying to fit 3 extra songs in the countdown, why didn't they remove the montage instead?

I thought with the recent death of Prince, that iHeart's Classic AT40 would play the 8/4/1984 AT40 episode non-stop for this April 22-24, 2016 weekend, but that channel is sticking with its normal schedule of classic 1970's/1980's shows in its current lineup rotation.

In honor of Casey's birthday, which would have been today, the Iheart channel is running year end countdowns. They are currently in the top 20 of 1972.
