Happy New Year! To start off the new year (and the new decade) on a high note, here's a song from this week in 2007 that was #2 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, after peaking at #1 two months earlier in November. The song also reached #105 on the Bubbling Under chart that same month. Here's "Jump" by Madonna.

From this week in 2011, it's a song that was going down the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. After peaking at #8 the previous December, it was at #20. Here's "Fire in Your New Shoes" by Kaskade featuring Martina of Dragonette (also included is the Sultan & Ned Shepard Electric Daisy Remix).

I've been including 2010s songs in this thread since I started it. At this point I'm posting two songs a week, and try to alternate between 2000s and 2010s songs (last year I posted 2000s songs on Sundays and 2010s songs on Wednesdays; this year I'm reversing it).

From this week in 2002, it's a song that was at #56 on the Hot 100, after just missing the Top 40 two weeks earlier by peaking at #41. The song also barely missed the Top 40 on Radio and Records, peaking at #43 that same month. The song did better on the rock charts, peaking at #4 on the Mainstream Rock chart and #2 on the Modern Rock chart. Here's "Alive" by P.O.D.

From this week in 2016, it's a song by a French artist that came from her debut album "Zanaka", released the previous November. The song was re-entering the French singles chart this week at #78, and would eventually peak at #15 the following July. The song would also be used in commercials for Levi's and Mitsubishi. From this week in 2000, it's a song by a former member of the hip-hop trio The Sequence (best known for their song "Funk You Up", which would later be sampled by Dr. Dre for his song "Keep Their Heads Ringin'"). This song itself samples "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)" by Gladys Knight and the Pips, and was at #61 on the Hot 100, after peaking at #56 three weeks earlier.
