From this week in 2010, it's a song by a female singer-songwriter which appeared on her album released that week, "Kaleidoscope Heart". From this week last year, it's a song that debuted at #37 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart and would peak at #23 in November. It also peaked at #121 on the Bubbling Under chart in August and just missed the Mediabase Top 40, peaking at #41 in October. From this week in 2007, it's a song from the soundtrack of the Irish film "Once". It was at #27 on Billboard's Adult Alternative chart, and would initially peak at #24. Following its Oscar win for Best Original Song in 2008, the song would re-enter the chart and peak at #15 in March. The song would also peak at #61 on the Hot 100 that same month. It interpolates two songs by 80s new wave act Bronski Beat, "Smalltown Boy" and "Why?", and was at #22 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, on its way to a #16 peak later that month.
