Icehouse - Electric Blue 4/4/81 (B):Champaign - How ´Bout UsSteve Winwood - While You See A Chance The Police - Don´t Stand So Close To Me The Who - You Better You Bet Yarbrough & Peoples - Don´t Stop The Music Stop Corona AppA new Stop Corona App aims to help break the chain of corona infections as quickly as possible. A contact diary serves as the core piece for this purpose, in which personal encounters are stored anonymously by means of a "digital handshake". If a person then shows symptoms of corona disease, the contact is automatically notified and asked to isolate himself. If a doctor detects a corona infection, the user can simply submit a report via the app to anonymously notify his contacts of recent encounters. The informed contacts receive notification that there is a confirmed Corona case at one of their meetings. Subsequently, users are asked to stay at home and to contact their family doctor by phone if symptoms appear. The Stop Corona App shortens the time between the appearance of symptoms in a person and the tracking of his contacts. This reduces the time window in which other people could be infected. And here are my current " well-known"-collections: 4/2/88 (A):Billy Ocean - Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car George Michael - Father FigureJohnny Hates Jazz - Shattered Dreams Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror Patrick Swayze & Wendy Fraser - She´s Like The Wind4/4/81 (B):Abba - The Winner Takes It All Dolly Parton - 9 to 5 John Lennon - WomanREO Speedwagon - Keep On Loving YouSheena Easton - Morning Train An Austrian extra: The MakemakesLet´s stay at the Eurovision Song Contest and take a look into the year 2015: The band " The Makemakes" comes from the border region of Salzburg-Upper Austria and derives its name from the probably only few known planet Makemake - itself named after a deity of Easter Island culture. The three members of the band founded in 2012 are singer Dodo (Dominic) Muhrer, bassist Max (Markus) Christ and Flo (Florian) X. Meindl on drums. Their first big success was the appearance as support act for Bon Jovi in Vienna in 2013. Their song -"I Am Yours" was created in cooperation with the US producer Jimmy Harry, who among others has already gained experience with Madonna. The number differs from the previously known style of The Makemakes. Sitting at the piano, Dodo sings an ode of love and friendship that is catchy and calm rather than rocky. Partly with head voice, heart and pain is served here.
Here are The Makemakes with "I Am Yours":

Timothy? TIMOTHY?!?! A song about cannibalism makes your favorites list? trekkielo , I don't know about that one... There are very, very, very few songs that would make me withhold a "like" from someone here. "Telephone Man" by Meri Wilson would be another one. So just curious for our regulars here ('cuz we're a friendly bunch )... what would make you withhold a "like" from a post in this thread? Enquiring minds want to know... Meanwhile, "Shannon" by Henry Gross makes my absolute favorites list... go figure .

^^ 11 hours after my last post, I have had a change of heart. I'll award a "like" to trekkielo 's post for having "Timothy" in it. Why? Debuting on the Hot 100 37 years ago this week (4/16/83) was one of my favorite songs not to make the Top 40 in 1983... "I Eat Cannibals" by Toto Coelo ... seriously! So if that's one of my absolute faves from '83 not to make AT40, then I'll like trekkielo 's post (not only that, but he took away his "like" for my post without stating a reason... I want my "like" back ). So with an AT40 extra, here's my favorite song about cannibals, "I Eat Cannibals" by Toto Coelo:

4/18/87:Crowded House - Don´t Dream It´s OverGlass Tiger - I Will Be There Hipsway - The Honeythief Lionel Richie - Se La Simply Red - The Right Thing The Vegetable Drive-InAt present, every Saturday morning at the Vienna wholesale market, there´s the possibility to pick up fruit and vegetables in crates at a drive-in. For a price of 19 euros you get a box with about 5 kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables. You can choose between four different crates (fruit crate, salad and snack vegetable crate, cooked vegetable crate and mix crate). A pre-order isn´t necessary and the contents of the boxes cannot be changed. Simply drive up with the car, express your wish for boxes through the open window, have the boxes loaded into the trunk, pay cash and drive home satisfied. And here´s my " well-known"-edition for this week - maybe if you´re at the drive-in waiting for fresh fruit and vegetables: 4/18/87:Aretha Franklin & George Michael - I Knew You Were Waiting Europe - The Final Countdown Kim Wilde - You Keep Me Hangin´ On Prince - Sign ´O´ The Times U2 - With Or Without You An Austrian extra: BuenoVincent Bueno (born on 12/10/1985 in Vienna) is an Austrian singer of Philippine origin. He will represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in the Netherlands, after the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 was due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Already as a child Bueno dedicated himself to dancing and singing. No wonder, because his father was the singer and guitarist of a band in the 1970s. In 2008 Vincent dared to make the leap to television, took part in the ORF show "Musical ! The Show" took part and won the victory. Privately, the now successful entertainer found happiness with his wife Charity, who gave him daughter Kezzy in 2014, who wasn´t to remain an only child. In 2019 the little family was looking forward to having little sister Samantha. Then the shock when Charity and Vincent learned that their intended child with a severe deformity would see the light of day. This malformation of the head ("anencephaly") led to the probably most terrible diagnosis parents need to hear: life expectancy at best a few days. Nevertheless, the couple decided to live, even if only briefly. 97 minutes lived the second child of Charity and Vincent. "I sang to her, she opened her eyes. Then we kissed her goodbye". Neither he nor his wife Charity gave up their faith in life and love. And so Krista Faith saw healthy on 11/2/2018 in Vienna the light of the world. Here´s Vincent Bueno with the Austrian contribution to the Eurovision Songcontest 2021 - "Alive" (song starts at position 0:22): from my musical category "daydreamer"My motto: "Not always the often heard hits."
