9/29/84:Elton John - Who Wears These Shoes Prince & The Revolution - Let´s Go Crazy Sheena Easton - Strut The Cars - DriveThe Fixx - Are We Ourselves An Austrian extra: Martina KaiserMartina Kaiser from Scheibbs (Lower Austria) began her career at the age of 19 as a presenter and music reporter for Ö3 (which, by the way, celebrates its 52nd birthday on 10/1/2019). At the same time she studied journalism and theatre studies at the University of Vienna, was a singer and founded her own record label at short notice. After more than ten years with Ö3 and three years of ORF-TV moderation, Martina concentrated from 2003 on her acting and singing career. She completed acting workshops in Los Angeles and produced various electro-pop songs in Berlin that appeared on renowned Ibiza compilations. Inspired by the Berlin club scene, Martina discovered her passion for deejaying and made her breakthrough into the international DJ business in record time. Since 2007 she has been a permanent member of the "God Is A DJane World Tour", jetting around the globe for her performances, including destinations such as Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, Ibiza, Marbella, Dubai, Beirut, Casablanca, Moscow, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. Thanks to her excellent musical taste, her charming personality and glamorous charisma, Martina is not only booked in the hottest clubs worldwide, but is also engaged for high fashion and VIP events. She played in Monaco, at the legendary Formula 1 Grand Prix "Amber Lounge", performed for Chanel and Roberto Cavalli, was headliner DJ at the Ibiza Privilege World Tour in Beirut, rocked fashion TV parties in Bahrain and Milan or was the first House DJane to play at the Vienna Opera Ball. In 2009 Martina also won the online vote for the international "#1 DJette". In addition to her international DJ appearances, Martina Kaiser also worked for the ORF again in the meantime. In 2007 she was the voiceover artist for a youth magazine and in 2008 guest presenter for the Madonna Special at the "orf.music.night". Martina also releases her own songs at regular intervals, mostly in co-production with international DJs/producers.
Now, here´s Martina Kaiser with her current hit "Hunter":

I thought I would do something different. Hope you don’t mind. jessica ... Welcome back! Of course we don't mind if you do a different twist on our favorites list... even if you really like "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" . I really like Milli Vanilli's four other songs from '89 and '90 but I never understood how GIGMY made it to #1. It's not a bad song... it just doesn't have the right hook for me. I really like most of your other picks from all three years.

They managed to release their first song on the Austrian newcomer compilation "Talente ´70" ("talents ´70"). In 1978 guitarist Hans Hartel joined the band and professionalized their production. Line up at the time were Rudi Eis, Peperl Kutschera (died 2008), Walter Purr, Walter Cerny, Mecky Drabek, from 1982 on Herbert Laufer and sometimes Helga Cerny. Hans Hartel left the band in 1988 which ended their recording career.

I really wanted any excuse to post my favorite songs of 1989-1991 lol. It pains me to admit I was ever a Milli Vanilli fan, regardless of who sang those songs they had some pretty catchy tunes IMO. Thanks again for the nice words, I always like your picks as well .

It's easy (and fun) to dump on Milli Vanilli's lip-synching snafu, but their songs were earworms on pop radio for over a year. Girl You Know It's True still holds up as catchy. I can do without the rest.
