Thanks. I thought for sure it would be 1965. I am thinking survey date should be 9-24-66, when #1 was "Cherish" by the Association. Songs were still shorter then, therefore a quick show.

And as Dave mentioned, you can still vote. I typed in Top 60 One Hit Wonders, and it took me right to the voting page. It was very thoughtful of Dave to mention that. You can vote for 25, and I mean 25. I tried a 26th vote to no avail.

I have a book called "One Hit Wonders" by Wayne Jancik-It was published in 1990 & lists a plethora of artists who got their 15 minutes of fame to quote Andy Warhol & were never heard from again-I highly recommend it.

Since this is a listener voted countdown, it will be interesting to see how this compares to actual chart performance. I remember a July 4th Special on AT 40 in 1973 where the Top 40 Disappearing Acts were counted down, and the biggest one hit wonder was Zager and Evans, "In The Year 2525."

"Popsicles & Icicles" was written by David Gates who went on to form the soft rock group Bread who were very popular in the early 70's.
