You could say the same about "There! I've Said It Again" by Bobby Vinton which replaced "Dominique"-Bobby's hit was # 1 the entire month of January 1964. Until he was displaced by the Beatles, in one of the all time “changing of the guard” chart moments.

Interesting to note that Bobby Vinton was one of the few American artists who survived the onslaught of The British Invasion during 1964 & 1965.

Might be the same date, 12-21-68, as the calendar after 2-29-68 became the same as 1963.

Interesting to note that Bobby Vinton was one of the few American artists who survived the onslaught of The British Invasion during 1964 & 1965. 1964 I agree with, but 1965 I wouldn't call a #23 song and a #38 song too successful.

This week's countdown from 1968 will probably run over two hours since the songs were getting longer back then.

1962 is next week's episode and "Monster Mash" was #1. Likely date 10-27-62. Dave mentioned that you can vote for your favorite songs on the website--go to Sirius XM Top 1000 of the 60's and it should take you there. You can vote for 25 songs from each year from 1960 to 1969. A date hasn't been announced when the show will be playing, but voting stops on 11-30-22, so I am thinking it will be a New Year's Special. I posted this back in October, so I am assuming this is the countdown that will probably be all New Year's Weekend.

Two weeks in a row Dave's using the same survey date--12-21; this time it's 1968.

Today's show was a lengthy one, and ended at 4:45. One of the extras was "Hang Em High" which Dave stated was the highest instrumental of the week, but "Soulful Strut" was in the countdown at #20, so just SMH at that. Next week is the Top 40 Holiday Special from what Dave called the "Transistor Era." I was surprised that no mention was made of the following week, which should be the Top 1000 as voted by listeners.

No surprise at #1 today; it was noteworthy that the #2 song is also number 2 on this week's Hot 100 64 years after release. No spoilers please for those who didn't hear it! Merry Christmas everyone!
