I'm thinking this week's presentation from 1962 will give Dave the opportunity to play a boatload of extras-That's because the songs back then were relatively short.

He usually plays seven extras--some of which are the #1 in Great Britain, Canada, Staff Picks and the Highest Debut of the week on the Hot 100.

I sure didn't see this coming--survey date 7-14-62--Dave, why so far in advance?

Dave stated he is moving on the 4th of July weekend, and more info will be next weekend when Sherman and Mr. Peabody as he stated, will take the wayback machine to 1969.

I am thinking next week's show should be 7-12 or 7-19. Today's show for 1962 was 12 days in the future, so 1969's on 7-9-22 could be either 3 days or 10 days out.

33 – Barbara Lynn – You’ll Lose A Good Thing 20 – Chubby Checker – Dancin’ Party Survey Extra – Bubbling Under Hit – The Lafayettes – Life’s Too Short 09 – Dee Dee Sharp – Gravy (For My Mashed Potatoes)
Wow, only 4 of the 1962 tunes were in the original 1988 Hairspray film. But Dave did pick The Lafayettes, whose song was not only in the film, but the band was in the film as well. (Did a cameo singing Life's Too Short.)

That's kinda strange that Dave Hoeffel went with a survey that was from the following week-I'm thinking that Lou Simon or one of the other higher-ups at Sirius/XM chooses the specific countdowns that will be featured every weekend.

"Sealed With A Kiss" was also a top forty hit for Gary Lewis & The Playboys (1968) & Bobby Vinton (1972).

Next week's countdown from July 1969 will be a good one-It was that month that Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon-I was on a family trip to Montreal,Canada & I got back home on 7/20/69 which was the same day of the Apollo 11 moon landing-I believe "In The Year 2525" by Zager & Evans was the # 1 song that week.

Chart date affirmed as 7-19-69. Confused as to for two weeks now, so far in the future, not the week the show is aired--as in 7-12-69?

Today was a longer show--ended at 4:37 EST, from his new home in Pennsylvania. He said he was getting used to the new area and wanted to find the best pizza. Next week is the Summer of Love Top 40 (I think listener voted).

The reason we're not getting a regular countdown from 1967 has to do with the ongoing ban of The Turtles on the "60's Gold" channel-Maybe the higher-ups at Sirius/XM will lift that ban in the near future.
