WGHN appears to have at least, dropped the '70s show. In its place was 'Into the '70s.' I just tuned in at 6:41; they were playing "One Nation Under A Groove." So I'm guessing they started the 3-hour version of the 11/25/78 of AT40 at 6:30pm EST.

What I don't like is, when stations dump the OEs, for their OWN extras. Doesn't make sense to do that!

Did WGHN move the '70s show to a different time slot? 'Into the '70s was on, in its time slot. Do tell.

KOKZ's stream is mentioned in another thread. I couldn't open the KOKZ stream at all last weekend. And the KOKZ player wouldn't play either. When I clicked on the player link it would load, but not play. Have they changed their streaming??

I've also noticed that the link to their website on this thread brings you to a website about cool walls.

Something worth noting -- radio stations are adopting a practice called "Geo-blocking", meaning they prevent you from listening to their stream if you are out of their geographical area. Especially an issue for those of us in the USA who listen to Canadian stations on the 'net. ajournalofmusicalthings.com/note-american-listeners-used-stream-canadian-radio-youre-probably-wondered-hell-happened/But it's also happening with American stations -- a San Diego station might prevent someone in Kansas City from listening. It's all about how much streaming costs and the theory is that if you're listening to an out-of-your-region station, you're not buying products from their local advertisers and so you're worthless to them as a listener. If this phenomenon really takes hold, it's goodbye AT40 for many of us.

Don't know if this is the same issue, but Firefox needed a Flash update, so the KOKZ player appeared but wouldn't load. I just updated flash & it worked fine. I think Chrome auto updates, but you may need to manually update other browsers.

In the UK I-Heart & CBS are blocked from the USA, but they have been for years sadly...now Canada & Australia as well. These music licencing authorities won't be happy until all streaming is stopped everywhere. Why make hearing a product that people may buy so expensive it can't be heard. It makes zero sense.
