From the 1998-2004 incarnation of AT40: Alanis Morissette's hit "So Pure" managed to work in the album title "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie". And the Nelly/P. Diddy/Murphy Lee hit "Shake Ya Tailfeather" included the unlikely shoutout "Bad Boys 2 the Soundtrack" in its intro. Alanis also pulled that trick with her monster CD, 'Jagged Little Pill', with that title in the first verse of "You Learn". #1 on the CT40 from 8/10/96 that I heard today. She did it a third time in 2002 - she says "under rug swept" in "Hands Clean".

Not sure I would have gotten this if Casey did not mention it himself but Soul Asylum sings 'let your dim your light shine' in "Promises Broken" (1996).

Not sure I would have gotten this if Casey did not mention it himself but Soul Asylum sings 'let your dim your light shine' in "Promises Broken" (1996). Another one I got courtesy of Casey. In fact, here is what he said in the 9/16/78 show. "You know, there's a line in the chorus of this next tune in our countdown and it says 'With you I'm not shy'. And Not Shy is also the title of the current album by Walter Egan. ("Magnet and Steel).

"Le Freak" by Chic uses the phrase "c'est chic"; the album is called C'est Chic. "Devil Inside" by INXS uses the phrase "look at them go, look at them kick"; the album is called Kick.
"Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners comes very close. The album is called Too-Rye-Ay; the lyric goes, "too ra loo ra, too ra loo rye ay." Aargh!

Rush's 'New world man' has the lyric, 'signal that's turnin' green'. Their album was called, 'Signals', so, almost.
