They did play the 1972 and 1986 shows starting at midnight (EST) yesterday morning. I missed the 6-7-86 show.

Now they're playing February 5, 1977, which I instantly recognized by the sound of chickens clucking (that was the only week that Ray Stevens, under the name "Henhouse Five Plus Two", charted with this rendition of "In the Mood.")

"IHeart Radio celebrates the career of Casey Kasem." (I think I got that right; if not, it's mighty close.) Just heard between the 70s (2/5/77) and 80s (Top 100 of 1985, Part 2) shows.

This morning's been 2/17/79 not sure if it was 3 or 4 hours. Did anyone catch whether they ran all 4 hours?

They are now on Top 100 of 1984. # 49 - "That's All" by Genesis.

I'm listening to the 1984 year-end special right now. I noticed that Ed McMann is announcing the extras as opposed to Larry Morgan. Good move - I greatly prefer Ed McMann's voice; it has better "presence" for announcing.

Ed was the host of AT40 the 70s and 80s when the series first came on the air. He was then replaced by Mike Kasem for a short period of time before Larry Morgan took over hosting duties in summer of 2009. Not really a "good move" just using old shows from when Ed was the announcer.

I'm listening to iHeartRadio right now and something is wrong. They stopped playing the Newcomers of the 80's show after Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi and they are now playing the show from 4-23-83. Can somebody please tell me what is going on?

Take the random Casey streams for what they are. Random. From this and previous comments and my own experience, it appears that although it is nice to have a 24/7 Casey station, it is not as well maintained and not as reliable as listening to the weekend shows, if your desire is to hear the same show from start to finish.

If you hear any technical issues on the channel, please post them here and the date and time (Eastern) that you heard the issue. (i.e. same segment twice, a jump to a different countdown, etc) I figure since you guys listen a lot I can check here, I am on the team managing this channel.
