Not name-checking some other singer or act, but name-checking himself, herself or themselves.
There has to be more, but the one that comes to mind is "Hollywood Swinging."
"I went to a theater, and I saw the Kool and the Gang show."
Also, Janet Jackson in "Nasty."
"No my first name ain't baby, it's Janet; Ms. Jackson if you're nasty."
(Should one count "In A Big Country?")

In 'Aquarius/Let the sunshine in', Billy Davis, Jr. sang, 'I want you to sing with the 5th Dimension'.

Jeff Lynne sang 'You shine a little love on my life (E.L.O.)' on "Shine a Little Love" that peaked at #8 in 1979 from Discovery by Electric Light Orchestra!

How about "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Motley Crue where Vince Neil and Tommy Lee refer to each other ("Hey Tommy, check that out man!", "Where Vince?! Where?")?
There's also "My Name Is Prince" by Prince and the New Power Generation ("My name is Prince and I am funky").

Rapping for Chaka Khan in "I Feel for You". Another good example is "Talk Talk" by Talk Talk (great song, predating "It's My Life"),but didn't make the Top 40. -KLF in "3am Eternal" -"Le Freak" by Chic as in "C'est Chic" Honorable mention to Ralph Tresvant who calls out the other members of New Edition "Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike" in "Cool It Now"

Andy? Mick? All right, fellas, let's goooooooo!"

And in the duet "The Girl Is Mine", they address each other by the first names:
-"Michael, we're not going to fight about this" -"Paul, I think I told you, I'm a lover not a fighter" -"I've heard it all before, Michael"...
Another one I remember was one of the early singles by "Wham!" called "Wham! Rap", didn't make the Hot 100.

Honorable mention to Ralph Tresvant who calls out the other members of New Edition "Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike" in "Cool It Now" In "Float On", the Floaters each mention their own names. Also: Samantha Fox in "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" Falco in "Rock Me Amadeus" (in the timeline part) Queen (technically) in "Killer Queen" And not a top 40 hit, but Chicago once charted with "Take Me Back to Chicago".

Probably one most people would miss: "Get On The Good Foot (Part 1)" contains the line "dance to the music of the James Brown band."
