Derek & The Dominoes "Layla" - on the last chorus Clapton comes in a bit late with "Layla." Always sounded to me like a problem with his mic or something like that.

I noticed this during the credits of “Halloween II”: the voice of one of the Chordettes cracks while doing the “bum, bum, bums” in “Mr. Sandman.”

Listened to "Helen Wheels" by Wings recently and noticed that the bass comes in late on one of the verses.

Not a mistake by the artist but by millions of listeners for 52 1/2 years.
Frank sings - doo dee doo bee doo - not - doo bee doo bee doo
I just noticed this a couple of days ago.
BTW what a GREAT record.

I assume you are talking about his #1 hit from 1966--Strangers In the Night (which is where Hanna Barbera got the idea to name their cartoon dog Scooby Doo).

That's right. So which came first? The Scooby Doo cartoon show or the Archies song - Feelin' So Good (S.K.O.O.B.Y. D.O.O.)? Well these days when we can look up just about anything, it looks like the Archies song was recorded in 1968 and the TV show about the dog started in 1969. The Archies spelled it SKOOBY DOO so I guess that makes this more complicated. Anyway I think it's remarkable that everyone has always said Frank sang dooby dooby doo when it was doody dooby doo. Maybe it was because no one wanted to say doody. Frank might have gotten away with that one. I know it is said that he didn't like the song, which he thought sounded like two guys in a bar, not that there's anything wrong with that but Frank seemed to think there was.

I remember when "Archie" started on Saturday morning TV in the fall of 1968 (the same time that their #22 single, "Bang-Shang-a-Lang" was released. "Feelin' so Good" was it's less successful follow-up, #53 in early '69). "Scooby" started the following fall, 1969. I was 10 and 11 back in those carefree days...

I'm two years older, and when CBS dropped Superman and Aquaman in favor of the Archies it was one of those "I'm getting too old for this stuff" moments - despite the presence of Betty and Veronica.

Unfortunately this was not only not a top 40 hit but predated AT40 by over a year, denying Casey the chance to pitch his own cartoon vocal skills--perhaps by announcing the song in character as Shaggy.

This is a lyrical error-The writers of "The Night Chicago Died" made mention of the Old East Side-Evidently,there's no such section of The Windy City.

In "Endless Summer Nights" there is a double "Ohhhh" before the second chorus as opposed to a single "Ohhhh" before the first. Not sure if this is an error but it has always sounded like one.

Dan Baird’s voice cracks when he sings “jing a ling a ling” in “Keep Your Hands To Yourself.”

BTW what a GREAT record. It's Frank, backed by the Wrecking Crew with Hal Blaine on drums and Glen Campbell on guitar just to name two.

Dan Baird’s voice cracks when he sings “jing a ling a ling” in “Keep Your Hands To Yourself.” I've always assumed that the voice 'crack' by Baird was intentional.
